We found the house to be beautiful and welcoming. Had everything we needed. Beautiful setting. We had a great time with good friends and would love to come back.
Lisa and Todd live near Baltimore, Maryland but both have paternal roots in the midwest. They love good food, good wine, and slow travel and want to share their love of hedonism with you!
My grandfather Edward bought this property around 1970 and it passed to my father in 2004. My father and I cleared the home site together in 2008 in preparation for my parents to build but they both passed away before construction could begin. Lisa and I had fallen in love with the area and decided to continue their plans to build a home here in Door County. My mother named it Five Birches after the grove of birch trees outside the master bedroom.
Our favorite things about Five Birches is that it is essentially our own design, the proximity to Fish Creek and the bay, and the private meadow down the trail from the house.
