About Teresa Morey

As long time Bend Residents, Ken & Teresa Morey, have always enjoyed many activities Central Oregon has to offer. After living in Central Oregon, we looked for a property that had many things to offer: Mountain views, proximity to town, activities, hiking trails, close to the river & elbow room.

The minute we saw this property we knew it was the one. Building, landscaping and highlighting the properties amenities became a passion and has since become referred to by friends and family as the 'resort'. Now that family has grown, we have decided to make available for others to enjoy a 'special place' we feel fortunate to have found many years ago.

Why Teresa Morey chose Bend

Bend has been home to us most our lives. We enjoy the views, climate, location, and proximity to so many activities you can access within a short distance. In one day you can do multiple adventures and still be back home to relax.

What makes this house unique

Besides the Amazing Mountain Views, and being able to access the amenities of town in a few minutes this property has so much to offer just staying here. With ponds, water features & wildlife there is always something to do or watch. Neighboring farms have horses and cows to watch in the fields all located on some of the greenest most picturesque property in Central Oregon.

It is quiet and beautiful with inviting outside deck and patio areas to relax and BBQ on. Or, choose to sit in the hot tub... all with amazing views.

It has close proximity to the Deschutes River and Tumalo State Park, where you can swim, float, fish, & hike on trails.

Walk or bike some of the finest scenic areas in Bend right from the home.

5 star awesome

Lovely rural place just outside of Bend, with ample parking for rigs with trailers if you're bringing your outdoor adventure toys with you. The house is beautiful, extremely well kept, well stocked kitchen and nothing broken or missing anywhere. The high attention to detail from the owners in keeping things in tip top shape shines through. It just doesn't feel like a rental at all, more like you're house sitting for someone in their really nice house with snow capped mountain views right off the back deck. If all of this weren't enough, the owners left some locally roasted coffee, fresh bread, and a 6 pack of beer for us to enjoy in the fridge! We've rented many vacation houses over the years this was tops. Pool table was a very nice touch for our teenagers who spent a lot of time shooting pool instead of the typical TV watching or playing video games. The upstairs is exclusively dedicated to the master suite, and provides great privacy but this also means the queen bedroom downstairs is quite a step down in square footage. Weber BBQ was clean and ready to go, same with the hot tub. Although we did not need it, the 2 car garage was super clean and available for use if one chose to do so. Excellent communication from the owners before and after the rental process.

Perfect Honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

We wanted something different that the usual beach/all inclusive for our honeymoon, so we decided to check out Bend. Ken & Teresa's home really made our trip! The home is gorgeous and the views from every room in the house are fantastic; basically all of my Pinterest fantasies come to life! Teresa was so helpful with sending us info about the area prior to our trip & checking in with us during the intense snow storm that came in during the end of our stay. We spent time relaxing in the hot tub while it was snowing & were able to watch various wild life each morning while enjoying the gifts from Ken & Teresa (local bread, local coffee, local biscotti & a a few brews to toast our marriage). It was a short drive to downtown Bend where we ate so much amazing food & completed the Bend Ale Trail. In the evening we relaxed in front of the fireplace and watched the snow. Although it was only us on this trip, the home was set up perfectly for multi-family. We have already started planning our next trip to Bend & we will stay here! This home is truly a gem and you couldn't ask for better hosts, it felt like we were staying with friends.

Brilliant

I almost don’t want to rave about this place- selfishly want to keep it to ourselves! We took all our (adult) kids and their SO's on a trip for New Year's weekend - 8 of us all together. This isn't renting a house, it's borrowing someone's lovely home. The location is terrific - a very short drive to Mt. Bachelor, and minutes from downtown Bend. The small touches were appreciated (fresh Cinnamon bread; coffee beans; local beers) The home was warm, comfortable, and beautiful, inside and out - spectacular views! Pool Table and Hot Tub were a big hit. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep; The kitchen is spectacular and has all the basics you might want to cook, even big meals for our hungry crew. Everyone wants to go back, and we’re already talking about the local activities we didn’t have time to try (snowshoeing, hiking, Bend Breweries) Definitely on our “must go back” list. Thank you so much for sharing your home with our family!

A Beautiful Setting & A Most Comfortable Home

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we turned into the driveway, we knew it was perfect for our family's stay in Bend. We admired the colorful flowers in the window boxes and pots around the front, listened to the trickling water and looked for all the little decorations around the water accent in the front yard. When we went in the front door and walked through the house, we were impressed with how large the house is yet how it is divided into such cozy areas for sitting, visiting or just relaxing. The attention to detail was evident in the decor and the comfortable furniture. And, in the kitchen, some local treats awaited our palates - a delicious loaf of cinnamon bread, some biscotti and fragrant coffee beans.

Over the several days we stayed, we enjoyed visiting with each other at the kitchen table. We ate, drank and watched the cows run around after each other in the pasture and the antics of the little prairie dog type creatures in the backyard. We caught glimpses of the mountains but the clouds hung over the peaks. It rained off and on but we were very cozy inside. The last full day we were there, we woke up to sunny, clear skies and were "wowed" by the snow capped peaks we could see! How picturesque!

Thank you for the wonderful stay. You made it so easy for us all to be together and enjoy each other's company in such a comfortable setting. Thank you, Ken, for stopping in and helping us with the TV sound so we could hear the World Cup game we were watching! Thank you both for having thought of absolutely everything to make our stay a most memorable one. We all intend to return and will definitely recommend your home whenever we have the opportunity.

Owner's Response: Suanne & entire family, Thank you so much for your very kind review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay despite the weather being unseasonably cloudy and cool. It truly is a pleasure to have had you as guests. Your thoughtfulness in taking excellent care of the place and also cleaning so well was very much appreciated. It really touched our hearts when we read how much you & your family enjoyed their vacation/family time there. Also, we added a few more tips on the TV operation sheet. Thank YOU for staying with us and again for the very thoughtful review. With kind regards, Ken & Teresa Morey

Beautiful home, private, peaceful, with an awesome view. Very clean, owner was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this property, would have liked to stay longer. The snow at Mt Bachelor was decent for skiing this time of year. The Old Mill was great for shopping and taking walks around the river.

Christmas Break Visit

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home is above par in cleanliness and comfort. It is located very close to Bend for shopping/dining out, with great access to Mt. Bachelor and other outdoor recreational areas such as Smith Rock. The setting is very peaceful, but not lonely. There are distant neighbors, but the best company is the deer that greet you each morning in the yard. Tile floors are heated in kitchen and bath, and the kitchen is more than fully stocked with quality dishes and utensils. We felt very comfortable entertaining local friends for dinner here. Everything in this house resonates quality and cleanliness, and the decor is very warm and inviting. Special touches included a personal greeting on the chalkboard in the dining room and fresh flowers in the kitchen along with a loaf of specialty bread and Sisters Coffee Company Beans (Hot cocoa for the kids, too!) Highly recommend it!

Owner's Response: Thank You! We are very glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate you taking the time to review your stay. Making the place feel like a home away from home is important to us. Having a nice place people can enjoy when they come back from their daily adventures, or just want to relax at, helps make for a good vacation. Cooking, cleanliness and having good working supplies are a big part of that. Viewing visiting deer and birds enjoying the pond in the front yard is a personal favorite. The waterfall seems to keep an opening in the ice during the wintertime giving them a place to count on for water. It is all good till Spring when the deer munch the fresh flowers in the window boxes and surrounding grounds. haha. We also want to thank you for being such wonderful guests also. You really took great care of the place and we do appreciate that! Anytime your wanting to come back to visit the Bend area we would love to have you. Thanks for choosing us for your Holiday vacation and letting us know you enjoyed it. Best Regards, Ken & Teresa Morey
