We are a family of kids, adults who are kids at heart, and dogs. We love to explore new places, try new and exotic food, do adventurous activities, play games, and have fun. We wanted a place where there was a variety of stuff to do and was an awesome place to stay. We built this place with all those needs in mind. There is something for everyone to do and see, and the place is super comfy, well stocked with everything we could think of. We love it there and hope you will too!
We wanted the kind of location where we could walk to places and where our kids could hang out with other kids without us worrying for their safety. We looked at a bunch of places in the Russian River area, but all were on big roads and not within walking distance of anyplace. Rio Nido is the kind of place that reminds one of how it used to be - kids meeting other kids and disappearing for half the day, and we don't worry about them. We usually find them playing pool at the restaurant or swimming (lifeguard on duty), or playing tennis or miniature golf with other kids. And its all a short walk away. That's why we love this place.
We love the towering Redwoods above us, it might be 100 degrees by the pool, but our place is nice and cool. The yard has a really cool stone hearth-fireplace, probably from the days of the original Russians that settled there. Great place to make smores!
