Our place provides you with a 1600 square foot home, 1 full bath downstairs, 1/2 bath upstairs outside of the master bedroom. The best features of our home are the incredible views outside every window, especially the Grand Teton view out your living room window, the wildlife that wander nearby, the brand new furnishings and the close proximity to the biking and hiking trails in Grand Teton National Park. Our home is NOT a condo or apartment in a subdivision or 'neighborhood' or gated community. Our place is in the heart of Grand Teton National Park with some neighbors nearby on the 'bench' of Antelope Flats Bluff.

This home as been in our family since 1954. My father and mother purchased the land and in the early 60's began to build a summer home here to provide the family an escape from the city life of Los Angeles. We moved from California to Alaska in 1984 and still love coming 'home' to our gem right in front of the Teton Mountains. We have a very special spot here as we are one of very few that have a National Park in holding. Over the years, many upgrades have occurred, but it was built as a family retreat for those who enjoyed the great outdoors. We have always loved our second home here in the Tetons, but never feel like we get to enjoy enough time here, but by being able to offer it for nightly rentals during the summer months we are hoping to share this incredible place with newcomers and our family. We are hoping to keep our special place here in Moose, in Jackson Hole, for a very long time and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have over the years.
Lisa May purchased this cabin in 1955
My Dad purchased this homesite in 1954 for a few reasons: to get closer to the outdoors that he loved and to bring up his 3 daughters to appreciate the lovely mountains, whether it was through hiking, backpacking, riding bikes, rafting on the Snake River or just relaxing on the deck and enjoying the views.
Our home is very close to biking trails in Grand Teton National Park. A few miles away are spectacular hiking trails, access to mountain climbing and both scenic and whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing and world class trout fishing. Our cabin/home is rustic on the outside, but very clean and comfortable inside and provides all the amenities you would want in your home such as plumbing, well water, flushing toilets, kitchen facilities with coffee maker, microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator, dishes, pots, pans, knives, cookbooks, toaster....please keep in mind that our cabin is not a luxury accommodation, but a comfortable, clean cabin with incredible views and wildlife. We are not a condo or townhome or home located in the town of Jackson, we are located 13 miles North of Jackson in the heart of Grand Teton Park with all the beauty and wilderness around.
Thank you for letting us enjoy your condo for the week! We really loved being able to ski in/ski out, just wish there was more snow!
Three of us stayed in the cabin for 5 nights in early October. There was plenty of room; my friend reported that the futon was very comfortable. The location is perfect, near Moose entrance to Teton Park, near the airport, and only 15-20 minutes from town. The vies from the house are amazing! We difinitely plan to come again!
Stayed here for one week. Owners directions made the property easy to find. The property is in a superb location. It has unparalleled views of the Teton mountain range, is very close to Morman Row (a Mecca for photographers). The property is large and well equipped with a log effect gas fire which is very nice in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The property is a 20 minute drive from Jackson town. This is a great place to Teton National Park area. Whilst we were there we had a moose and her calf in the garden area, Constant visits by hummingbirds on the deck and bison in the fields nearby.
The view is terrific from every room of this lovely, comfortably furnished, well-stocked home. Relax and watch hummingbirds and bison from the sofa, or venture out across the parks or Jackson from an excellent location.
The views make it. Our family of four adults stayed here for seven nights. Coming from an East Coast town on the Atlantic we understand how ocean watching can mesmerize. Now we know that mountains can do it as well.
My first action every morning was to take a picture of the mountains in front of us - and several more across the day. Every one different. Fascinating.
The house is extremely clean & well equipped - especially the kitchen. After a visit to the Grocery story in Jackson we were set for the week. Everything from stir-fry (there is a wok) to Bison Burgers. Comfortable beds and furniture - although we minimized the time inside. Perfect weather for early June.
The buffalo came to visit every day around cocktail time and played in the side yard while we watched.
The location is great for access to Jackson and Grand Teton. Still a bit of a drive to the most interesting parts of Yellowstone. We had spent two nights up at the northern end of Yellowstone and so concentrated our visits on the southern end while staying in Teton.
Lisa was very easy to deal with and readily accommodated us with a schedule change when asked.
Great place to make memories - well worth a visit.
We had the greatest stay at the house. So comfortable and the bed was amazing. Woke up our first morning to find bison surrounding the house. I loved sitting out watching the hummingbirds flying around. The house was fully self contained and the instructions on arrival made it a breeze. Contact with the owner was very easy.
This was our fifth trip out to the Tetons and by far, the most memorable. There were six of us staying in the cabin, with us sleeping on the futon. We slept more soundly on the futon with the cool breeze blowing on us through the window, than we do at home! The views outside the cabin window were incredible! We woke up every morning drinking coffee sitting on the couch watching the sun come up and the colors reflecting on the Tetons. It was spectacular! The cabin had everything we needed, and we filled up the hummingbird feeders, and watched them come up every am to feed out the window. There were bison and antelope up the road behind the house, and we could hear coyotes in the evenings. The cabin location is very convenient to the Grand Teton National Park, which is where we spent alot of our time hiking, and also really close to the visitor center and Dornans where you meet for rafting trips and rent bicycles and paddleboards. We had such a great time walking the road where the cabin is, and sitting on the deck chairs taking in the view. The Mays Cabin is a special place, with a special view, and the next time we come back to the Tetons, we do not want to stay anywhere else! Thank you Lisa for sharing your beautiful home with us and helping us create so many wonderful memories.
