We are long-time Tucson residents who love Tucson and love our home in the Catalina Foothills.

Lori Lippman purchased this house in 1997

We adore privacy. It's the Southwest, land of the infamous outlaws. What we have here is space. We have beauty and privacy. Our home brings us a personal kind of Peace. It's what we love about it.

Privacy above all. You are surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert when you're at the Pueblo house. You can have the entire 3000+ sq. ft. space to yourself or share travel time with friends. The split-level, open-spaced, high-ceiling design gives beauty and privacy even within the interior of the home. There are also multiple levels of outdoor living.

Beautiful place to stay

We had several different small groups staying with us at various times during these six weeks, ranging from two lady relatives, a close-friend couple, our daughter and granddaughter, and my sister, husband and daughter. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time spent here. The pictures on this site give you an idea of the beautiful and interesting artwork that is displayed in and on all available areas. Once here, it becomes even more interesting and enjoyable to be a part of the surroundings both inside and outside. All aspects of the home worked out fine. We prepared many meals in the kitchen, from crockpot cooking to oven-prepared meals to using the outdoor grill provided in the outdoor living area. In addition to the regular water system, there is a reverse osmosis system for the refrigerator and a separate faucet at the sink. It takes a little time to fill the coffee pot but it is worth it!! The outdoor living area is very comfortable and inviting with morning sun and afternoon shade. We had the benefit of fresh oranges and grapefruit as well as the new blossoms of both trees with their delightful fragrance. The home is a curvy mile off of a main road, but being in the foothills it affords both excellent privacy and beautiful views of the city to the south and the mountains to the north. The various natural plant growth around the perimeter of the home makes one feel as if they are in the middle of a garden area.. We have seen many javelina, quail, and rabbits during our time here. The owner has communicated with us numerous times, both before arriving and during our time here to see if there was anything she could help us with.
Yes, there are steps up to the front door, as well as a few up to the main living area, and a few up to the master suite, but certainly nothing unusual. Just know they are there before coming. The pool is not heated but our thirteen year-old granddaughter was in the pool several times, with the temp at 68 degrees(not us however!!!).
This is a friendly, very enjoyable home to be in for three days or many more.

Wonderful desert oasis home away from home!

Well, we all loved this wonderful Tucson Oasis! It was exactly what we were looking for,
A quiet respite from the rigors of long days.
We sat and watched the Olympics, dined & sipped wine and enjoyed our evenings! The well appointed kitchen had every thing we could think of including popcorn bowls & wine glasses! I love the quiet up there in the foothills as well, just the howling coyotes & us! Of special note was the great wireless internet service! We all give this property two thumbs way up!
Thank you so very much!

Beautiful home!

My twin sister and I stayed for almost three weeks at this beautiful home from Dec. 17 thru Jan 3rd, 2013-2014. We enjoyed this artistic home with incredible views. The owner was helpful especially when planning our holiday and honoring my husband's passing. The beds were comfortable with plenty of linens and towels, the home was exquisite with incredible artwork and the patios allowed for quiet reflection and rest. The owner seems open to suggestions like updating the sad kitchen with dishes, pots and pans; DVD and stereo instructions and stocking the kitchen with needed condiments. We arrived late on the 17th and had not realized there were so many steps to get into the house. Not good for anyone who cannot navigate steps. There is a water filtering system, but we didn't realize this until the next morning as we did not stop at 3 a.m. to buy water. We visited the Whole Foods just down the road to stock up on kitchen supplies and food. Easy to travel from the house to all areas of Tucson. Coffee on the patio outside the dinning room was lovely. The pool filtering system sounded like a gentle waterfall (the pool is not heated), the bird sounds and coyote sounds made you feel like you were relaxing in the desert! We especially enjoyed the master suite with glass sliding doors on both sides. We brought our own Apple TV which allowed us to watch movies. Direct TV has no channels and we could not access any programs or news from the outside world. If you are staying more than a week, you might want to ask the owner to provide better service. I can still visualize the light and turquoise sky. Every place you look inside the house there is gorgeous artwork. We had two grandchildren (5 & 9 yrs old) visiting and the lower level allowed for privacy and comfort. The two rooms were comfortable and cave-like. Preparing food was a challenge and going out to dinner was not always possible with our family of six to eight every night. This was a small trade-off for the lovely experience. I would definitely tell friends about this property especially if the owner adds some much needed updates.

Duck vs Wildcat football weekend

This was our first visit to Tucson. We were there for a college football game so we didn't have a lot of free time to explore the area but we were able to spend a day hiking in the Sabino Canyon, which was fabulous. Weather was sunny but cool so not the best for enjoying the pool buy we loved sitting out on the patio in the morning sun.

This home was perfect for three couples. The open space of the kitchen and living room was ideal for visiting in small groups as well as a larger group. We didn't have any meals in, but if we had, the dining area would have worked great. Lovely home with incredible artwork (both inside and out, even the back gutter has a beautiful mural on it), nice furnishings and comfortable environment. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Tucson. The pool looked really inviting but it was only 60 or so when we were there. Would love to come back earlier in the year when the weather is warmer.

This is a terrific property. Very unique and artistic southwest decor. Nicely furnished and appointed. Gorgeous views no matter where you look. Wildlife viewing (serious!) from the patio. We saw javelina and a bobcat slinking through the desert on several evenings. There's a whole foods market down the street and lots of dining in about a 2-mile radius, yet the home is very very secluded. We watched lightening storm firing off over the peaks and loved sitting out on the expansive patio at night. I would be hesitant to bring small children here because of the pool and all the hard surfaces. I would consider this more of a great getaway for couples or someone in Tucson for a family wedding, sports event or business. I am definitely coming back. I have stayed at several other VRBOs in Tucson and this is my favorite. I love to run, bike and hike and the access from this home is unparalleled.
