Kihei Akahi is a condo-resort set in south Kihei on the sunny, dry side of Maui. The complex is directly across the street from Kamaole II beach, a wide stretch of white sand beach with calm, clear waters. This beach is family-friendly with lifeguards, restrooms, and BBQs. Water is generally calm with easy snorkeling, swimming, and boogie-boarding. You are within walking distance to tour centers, snorkel/dive rentals, surfboard/surf lessons, kayak rentals, restaurants and bars, general stores, souvenir shops.
The resort features 2 swimming pools, picnic and BBQ areas, tennis court, and beautifully manicured grounds with local Hawaiian flowers.

Aloha- I'm a southern California native who moved to Maui for work in 2011. Although it was initially a temporary move, I fell in love with the island, and purchased this condo so I can always return. I'm now what us locals call a 'permanent part-timer.' I reside in Maui part of the year, and in California the rest of the year. Being self-employed has allowed me to travel worldwide extensively; I never thought I would want to return to the same place over and over again, but Maui holds a special place in my heart. On Maui there is endless opportunities to surf, paddleboard, hike, scuba, explore- you can spend a lifetime here and never find all the waterfalls and secret beaches on the island. For me it's my little spot to connect with Mother Nature, breathe the same air as the turtles and whales and remember where I come from. I hope you find Maui as beautiful as I do.
I chose Kihei for its climate and location. Of the many micro-climates on Maui, I prefer Kihei's dry, sunny location, which is more conducive to my water activities. It's centrally located to access all of Maui's attractions around the island, so that I never have to drive far to get anywhere.
Property is directly across from Kamaole II beach, one of Maui's premier sandy beaches with calm waters for swimming. Next door is an activities center where tours can be booked, snorkel/dive rental center, moped/motorcycle rental center, restaurants and bars, general store, souvenir shops.
