Beach Side Brela is an absolutely stunning place! We love it so much that this is our second time here and I’m sure not the last one!
The most amazing aspect of B.S.B. is its VIEW! We were in one of the smaller apartments on the 2nd floor and we just absolutely loved every minute spent on its balcony while admiring the view! The beautiful BIG BLUE abounds, its mirror like surface being only occasionally stirred by some local boats going casually about their business…The island of Brac in the far distance is almost “framed” by the gorgeous big trees on your left and right, making it a perfect picture!
Beach Side Brela is every bit is says it is… It is located about 70-80 metres above the lovely pebble beach, to which one gets by going down some STEEP stairs (great way to stay fit!). Our room was simple but clean, the bed comfortable, the kitchenette basic but perfectly functional and if we ever needed any extra crockery the owners would happily provide it for us. Nights are quiet here as the house is away from the hustle & bustle of the town itself. However, the centre of town is easily accessible by foot, i.e. if you enjoy walking along the most beautiful promenade, which runs all along the beach front from the house to the town itself - you can easily forget your car & walk along some of the loveliest beaches in Croatia! There are several charming cafes scattered along the promenade, where we enjoyed stopping by on our way to Brela.
Parking is available at Beach Side Brela so do hire a car in Split or Makarska if you wish to explore the fabulous islands of Brac, Hvar and Korcula – impossible to say which one is nicer! We had a car and managed to visit not only these islands but Dubrovnik as well, stopping at numerous little towns on the way to Dubrovnik for some local coffee or delicious whitebait and bear.
Brela is a small town but has everything that one needs for a short holiday. There is a supermarket reasonably well stocked, some bakeries and a number of stalls selling fresh produce & conveniently located on the side of the promenade.
Beach Side Brela is well maintained and run by the people who understand what excellent customer service entails. And given its fabulous position and the natural beauty of its surroundings no wonder it’s a magnet for so many! We come here all the way from Australia every time we are in Europe to immerse ourselves in what we consider to be one of the best spots in Dalmatia! Give it a go, you won't regret it!
We found Annette to be really friendly and helpful .The house itself is exactly as the photos show although the steps to beach are really steep and not for the fainthearted !! The little bays are exceptionally pretty and unspoiled .The local people very friendly and really helpful . Annette organized our transfer from airport with Marino who was brilliant !! We used him a few times during our stay and would definately recommend you use him Very Reliable The only downside (apart from the steps ) was our TV was not always working (slight problem as EURO 2012 was on at the time !!) and the toaster didnt work But it did not take away anything from the fab holiday we had and we are already planning a return to Brela -- but would probably stay in one of the beachside apts next time . It is a 45 min walk into Brela from the villa but its all flat and very enjoyable with lots of little beachside bars and cafes on the way and of course all the lovely bays -- you really are spoiled for choice.
We had a fantastic 2 week stay at Beach Side Brela we were made to feel very welcome by everyone including the local shop owners and resteraunt staff.
Our appartment was both very clean and comfortable and waking up to such views every morning was an absolute pleasure, the sound of the sea gentley lapping the shore and the chorus of busy house martins made it all the more relaxing.
My wife and i felt very much at home here and would highly recommend Beach Side Brela for a relaxing beach holiday our boys 5 & 2 had a fantastic time on the local beaches where conditions were perfect for little ones.
Not only was it clean but you felt completley safe
The local resteraunts and bars were very accomodating for our children nothing seemed to be to much trouble.
Food icecream wine and beer were all very very nice and great value we truly enjoyed our time here and will definatley be returning to Croatia. We hired a car for 3 days and there is so much to see and do.Nearby Makarska is a lovely place to visit of an evening where you can shop and dine Baska Voda is another lovely beach to visit but when you arrive back at Beach Side Brela you are knocked out by that veiw every time.
Yes there are steps but Brela is at the foot of a fantastic mountain range so its a little price to pay for such fantastic scenery
