This four bedroom, two-story Cape is located in a quiet family neighborhood tucked away only ¼ miles from Maine Route 3 offering easy access to Bar Harbor (10 minutes) or Ellsworth (20 minutes). An added feature of this property is the easy access (3/4 mile, 10 minute walk) to a designated Island Explore bus stop connecting to the Bar Harbor Village Green hub and, from there, to all Acadia National Park areas (bus routes and timetables provided).
This spacious home offers comfortable accommodation for 1-10 people (including 3 queen size beds, 2 twin beds and a 2-person Aerobed upon request). The main floor consists of a spacious living room with full sofa, love seat, comfy chair, two Ottomans, ceiling fan and a 42-inch, flat-panel, wall-mounted HDTV with the DirecTV extended package and DVR.
Dining is accommodated by an 8-person oak dining table in the formal dining room, 4-8 person seating in the breakfast room and two-person seating along an informal dining counter area adjacent to the Tuscan-style kitchen (stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher). All areas have easy access to the adjacent 14-ft X 24-ft outdoor deck and patio area. This is a great place for summer breakfasts and relaxing outdoor dinners.
The remaining first floor accommodations include the Downstairs Bedroom (1 queen), bathroom (shower/vanity) and utility room (washer, dryer, iron).
Second floor accommodations consist of the large master bedroom (Mission style queen bed, 37-inch HDTV outfitted as above and ceiling fan) and adjacent Master Bathroom with twin vanities, double shower and large jetted soaking tub. Two addition second floor bedrooms (1 queen bed, two twin beds) are served by a full size bath with shower/tub and twin vanities. Virtually, the entire house and sizable outdoor areas are served by high-speed, wireless cable Internet access and AT&T wireless cell phone service. Almost areas have dimmable lighting for an elegant, relaxing or romantic effect.
Outdoor activities include walks in the quiet, safe, family-friendly neighborhood, basketball games on our marked court, bike riding and stargazing. This home is conveniently located ½ mile from the popular Pirate’s Cove mini-golf, Mainely Meat BBQ, Udder Heaven Ice Cream Shop and Acadia Camping and Convenience Store.
Connect here to the relaxing Island Explorer bus system where friendly drivers provide free, convenient, comfortable rides to all the Acadia has to offer including Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond House (tea and popovers. Yum!), Bar Harbor Village (shopping), Shore Path, Cadillac Mountain, carriage trails, Frenchman’s Bay, swimming areas, campgrounds and the Bar Harbor/Trenton or (via transfer) Bangor airports.
