SWALLOW'S NEST STUDIO; QUIET, RELAXING, CONVENIENT

Victoria Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio apartment with complete kitchen, 4 piece bath, in-suite laundry and queen

The closest intersection is Shelbourne & Cedar Hill Cross Road.

Separate, private, quiet and very comfortable 400 sq. ft. studio suite to welcome you after a busy day. Conveniently located to all that Victoria and the surrounding area has to offer, we are 10 minutes by car to the heart of downtown or the fields of the Saanich Peninsula. Swallow's Nest has a separate and private number-coded entrance so that you can come and go completely independently.

The suite has a fully equiped kitchen, complete laundry set up, very comfortable queen sized bed with top quality linens (and comfy cushions for lounging wth a book or movie), T.V. with DVD player, wireless internet, clock radio, plenty of closet space, in fact everything you could need to make your stay in Victoria comfortable as well as memorable! The walls of this gracious suite are adorned with original art by local artists.

If meal preparations are not part of your holiday plans there is a breakfast/lunch cafe just around the corner and several options for dinner near by as well. There is a grocery store, pharmacy (with a fabulous selection of really good chocolate!), Government liquor store, and Starbuck's within a couple of blocks.

From Ron, a guest in early July;

Whenever I come to Victoria I visit all the sites,

Beautiful and historic; this results in weary nights.

At the end of the day I really need a place of quiet

rest,

The perfect place for me I've found, is lovely

Swallow's Nest.

Thank you Ron!

And from a visitor from Texas in September 2013, ...your unit is the most organized, cleanest, well thought out property I have ever stayed in. I hope that I am this way again. Thank you Allen

Comfy and just plain awesome. A great spot for our honeymoon. Good size for 1-2 people, location was awesome. Everything was so well organized and well-stocked - even homemade treats! Thank you so much.

Although I have lived in this house for just a short while I feel more at home here than I did after 8 years in my previous house! And, I think, the suite has the same comfortable ambiance now that it has been freshly painted and decorated.

I have lived on Vancouver Island most of my life, growing up in the Cowichan Valley, and have lived in Victoria since I was a student, way back in 1970. My children were raised here and we spent many happy summers as a family sailing the waters around the Gulf Islands.

My son & son-in-law have done the landscaping in the front yard and in the warmer months guests will be able to enjoy the garden from their own sitting area. I enjoy gardening and spend many happy hours planning and puttering amongst my perennials and rhododendrons. In the cooler months I enjoy reading, sewing teddy bears, creating art and spending time with my grandchildren.

I have a large-ish dog, Molly, who is 3/4 Boxer and 1/4 Dalmation, so am unable to accommodate pets. She will be happy to meet and greet, with much wiggling and tail-wagging, should a guest so desire!

I feel very comfortable in this quiet part of Victoria. In less than 15 minutes I can be anywhere downtown or out into the farmland of the Saanich Peninsula. The trails of Uvic are just up the hill and are welcoming to dog owners - I love walking the park-like setting of these trails. I have seen owls, ravens, hawks and eagles many times on these walks, not to mention the wide variety of plant life.

Convenient to all that Victoria and the surrounding area have to offer, yet a quiet and private retreat for the end of your day. To give you a better idea of location, the closest intersection is Shelbourne & Cedar Hill Cross Road.

I look forward to meeting visitors but will not encroach on your time nor space.

EVERYTHING WE WANTED!

  • 5 of 5
This cosy studio was situated very close to family we we're visiting - & close to grocery store and other amenities (coffee shops). We also appreciated the welcome snacks and the other supplies. Liked the quiet street and privacy.

FEELS LIKE HOME

  • 5 of 5
The accomodations were just perfect! Swallow's Nest is close to beautiful walks and hikes, stores, and just a short trip to down town. The kitechen was stocked with anything you needed to cook meals and just a short drive to local farms to pick up fresh eggs and vegetables. Jocelyn has put so much effort into making Swallow's Nest comfortable for vistors. Thank you again for making our stay in Victoria as comfortable as our own home.

WHAT A WONDERFUL STAY! THANKS SO MUCH!

  • 5 of 5
Jocelyn is a wonderful lady with a great vacation rental! Highly recommend to anyone. So clean, quiet, cozy and convenient to everything! Felt like a little home away from home.
Thank you Jocelyn for being so flexible with the time that I needed the rental for. So kind of you to have baked goodies with jam ready for us and even coffee to get us through our first morning. You thought of everything and I was very impressed.
This was my first experience renting off VRBO and will definitely do this again as opposed to staying in a hotel.
Thank you again!!

A PERFECT NEST!

  • 5 of 5
As a visitor from England I stayed at the Swallow's Nest for 3 nights arriving late on the first night. Everything was perfect and welcoming and all the little extras were so thoughtful. The suite is fully equipped and anyone staying here could not find anything amiss. A lovely comfortable suite close to all amenities (walking) and I can only sing the praises of this beautiful B&B - excellent value for money and highly recommended. Thank you Jocelyn.
