Private and very quiet Omey House features three large en-suite bedrooms with king beds, flat screen TV, clock radio and iDock.
The house is bright and airy it has a fully equipped large kitchen with dining and relaxation area, utility room with washer and dryer, a large comfortable lounge with open fireplace. Omey House has free WIFI, satellite TV, free landline calls to Ireland and UK.
All rooms have uninterrupted sea views.
A baby cot, bath and high chair are available on request. Omey House was completed in 2011 to a very high specification on the site of the original Omey House. It is situated on over 4 acres of private grounds. Enjoy relaxing in the private courtyard overlooking the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and as evening approaches, enjoy your favorite beverage while watching the spectacular sea views as the sea ebbs and flows. If you're fortunate, you may see dolphins and seals swim not far from the house and depending on the time of the year you may hear the almost extinct Corncrake which nests on the island. Omey House - out of the way magnificence, yet easily accessible.
Weekly rental is inclusive of central heating, electricity, WiFi, landline calls to UK/Ireland, linen and towels (including beach towels).
Sorry but we are unable to facilitate pets in Omey House. Omey Island is a tidal island it is one of Ireland's most beautiful islands on the western edge of Connemara, Ireland.
To access Omey Island there is a signposted route for cars and pedestrians across the half-mile beach to the island. You can drive across the beach when the tide is out. The tide closes twice in 24 hours. Tide timetable and clock are provided. The famous Omey horse races are held each summer on Omey Beach.
Omey Island is designated a Special Area of Conservation (S.A.C.), because of its ecological importance. Omey is home to a number of rare and important plants and creatures.

The nearest shop, post office and bar is half a mile away. The nearest town Clifden is 7 miles away, it is a vibrant and cultural town which has retained its historic roots while offering a wide range of services and facilities. You will find a great selection of small local food shops – (fishmongers, butchers, fruit and vegetable store,delicatessens and a bakery), numerous craft and gift shops, art galleries and exhibitions and other interesting shops including antique shops, designer clothes shops, jewelery and vintage shops. There are a number of supermarkets, pharmacies / chemists, banks, gas stations and a post office.
There are a number of restaurants and pubs in Clifden and many of them have music sessions each evening.
