Year-round cabin on the Pere Marquette Rails to Trails!

Property is 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath home that includes approximately 1500+ sq. ft. of living space on a 1.3 acre wooded lot that overlooks the Sanborn Creek in Lake County, MI. Located east of Baldwin, this cabin is easily accessed from US 10 near Idlewild.

The main living space of the cabin includes an open layout of the kitchen, living and dining areas. The main bathroom and closets adjoin the main living area.

The large bedroom contains 1 queen bed, 1 full bed and 1 full size futon. There is also laudry, 1/2 bath and closet space.

The driveway approaches the front of the cabin, which is set back on the edge of the valley that overlooks the Sanborn Creek. There is adequate parking for several vehicles, trailers and other items.

The back of the property slopes down to the Sanborn Creek. A footpath leads down to a bridge with a sitting bench and outdoor light. The path continues to the main part of the stream on the back of the property.

Hi, I'm Barry Hicks! I live and work in a nearby community and grew up in the area. I enjoy outdoor activities so we take advantage of the local resources - like the trails, lakes, rivers and streams.

This cabin is unique and located in the perfect spot that overlooks a trout stream. It's just off the paved highway and only 2 miles from downtown Baldwin. Trails, lakes, rivers and other things to do are just minutes away.

What makes this cabin unique

Custom-built by a master guitar builder, you will not see another cabin quite like it. The location is pristine and the details of the cabin accentuate the surroundings. 6ft. tall windows placed around the domed structures give you direct views of nature. Open beam construction and an open floor plan give this place a comfortable, homey feel.
