Surf & Racquet 6-102 is tastefully decorated and furnished for your enjoyment with a King bed in the master bedroom which opens to the lanai, and another king bed in the second bedroom. The large screened lanai opening off the living area (with queen sized sofabed) and master suite has a beautiful garden and golf course view highlighting the location. There are 2 full baths in the condo, one with a washer and dryer for your convenience. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, cookware, small appliances and utensils including a microwave oven.
During your stay at this home away from home, you can enjoy numerous local attractions. Within walking distance is the Kahalu’u Beach Park, where one can snorkel and dive. Not far away is the La Aloa Beach park, which for most of the year has a lovely white sand beach. The Big Island of Hawaii has so many opportunities for a visitor it is difficult to even list them all! An active volcano, world class sport fishing, local entertainment, restaurants & shops, botanical gardens, white, black, green and brown sand beaches……….surely something for everyone in this wonderful island paradise.

Our party of four stayed here for 11 nights and would return in a heartbeat. We were hesitant to book this condo based on the lack of reviews, but we are glad we took the chance! This condo is quite spacious for two couples and the two king beds are a real treat. It is an older condo, but very clean and some updates have been made. The kitchen has everything you could need to eat in, including a great variety of spices and condiments. We appreciated the cooler, ice packs and tupperware containers so we could pack a lunch on our adventures. We spent each evening on the screened lanai, which looks out to a beautifully landscaped green space. The adjacent golf course is currently closed, which makes for a great place to walk and see the beautiful sunsets. Great location away from the busy downtown area of Kona and walking distance (up the hill) to a shopping center with groceries, drug store, restaurants, etc. A very short drive (5 mins) to the Kahalu'u Beach Park, which has excellent snorkeling for all levels of ability. Amazing variety of fish, eels and turtles too! This is one of the best snorkeling spots we have found in all of Hawaii.
From the moment I stepped into this condo, I felt all tension and stress melt away. This is a very quiet location on the property...no highway noise, only the occasional faint sound of the surf pounding at night. The view of the green lawn, flowers and palm trees with golf course in the background was the perfect setting for sipping my morning Kona coffee on the screened-in lanai. Joining the neighbors at the Sunset Lookout was always fun to meet new friends, and share a beverage. The King bed provided the most comforatable sleep I have had in a long time. The furnishings were very comfortable, and the kitchen had mostly all new everything. Less than a 4 minute drive to grocery store and world renown Sam Choy's Restuarant with a magnificent view of the ocean. Conveniently located 10 minutes south of town away from the crowds, yet close to beaches, fine dining and fun attractions in Kailua-Kona and Keauhou. The PERFECT vacation!
