5 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom Home with Private Beach Access and Ocean Views

Your vacation home has 5 bedrooms, which includes a deck off both the master bedroom and the main bedroom. A private full bathroom and two closets for the master bedroom and the main bedroom has frosted pocket doors that lead to another bedroom. There is a full bathroom on the second floor for the other three bedrooms and a full bathroom across from the fifth bedroom on the first floor. An enclosed, private, lockable outdoor shower is provided on the deck for after your day at the beach, fishing, golf, cycling, etc..

The master and main bedrooms both have queen size beds, the attached bedroom to the main has 2 twins, the bedroom next to the master and the first floor bedroom each have a double bed. Each bedroom has their own ceiling fan to help keep you comfortable during your time here. You can hear the peaceful ocean waves from each room of this home.

There is a sun-room located off the sun-porch/rainy day room, where you can enjoy the outdoors scenery from the comfort of being inside. The sun-porch/rainy day room is designed to accommodate families on rainy days when space for children to play is at a premium, while everyone else gets ready for the day!

The living room has a 47' wall-mounted LED HD TV with Wifi internet service, local news and regional sports channels, situated in a comfortable seating arrangement that has a picture window to the ocean views of the deck and backyard.

The kitchen and dining areas are ample, with a large cooking surface on the Thermador Professional and an eight seat table. The breakfast nook will seat four and also has its own window for taking in the surrounding beauty. A Four Seasons outdoor grill is provided for all your bbq needs on your vacation.

The landscaped backyard has a clothesline for those who like to put the fresh air of the ocean on their laundry and we also provide an indoor washer and dryer for your use.

Maplewood is located on a quiet street at the end of the Misquamicutt Beaches and avoids the congestion that comes with summer beach visits. You can use the beach passes provided to go to the local beaches with your car, if you want to go to a life-guard attended area and bring all your beach gear with you. There is parking for a maximum of three cars at Maplewood. In season we rent from Saturday to Saturday.

The sunsets over Watch Hill are amazing and are different every night. Be sure to bring your camera to capture some of these views as you look over the ocean.

Our family has been coming to the shores of RI for over 45 years and have experienced this unique coastline from Newport, RI to Mystic, CT. Having grown up in New England, we've also visited the most of the Northeast's coast from Nova Scotia, Canada to the shores of Long Island and Ocean City, Maryland. There are many beautiful and enjoyable places we have visited along the way, but none quite like here. We have many wonderful memories to treasure of our RI visits and know how much it meant for our family as we raised our children, and now our grand-children.

What makes this house unique

This is a quiet street away from the summer beach traffic and congestion and it has its own private beach access. The views of the ocean, beach, Watch Hill, the pond, the golf course and even the swans who annually reside in the pond, the location couldn't be better. The main deck and two second floor decks provide private views that are unique and unspoiled by anything that surrounds the property. Three cars parking is an an advantage in this area, as you can entertain extra guests, along with your family.

Multiple choices for beaching, swimming, and other ocean activities. The surrounding area has several choices for golf, different types of fishing, cycling, hiking and outlet shopping. Rainy day activities are plentiful with Mystic Aquarium, museums and cinemas. Sightseeing opportunities abound with many villages in RI and in nearby Connecticut with ocean marinas as well in Stonington, Mystic, Westerly, Point Judith and Narragansett. Most traveling activities are within 20-30 minutes travel time. A trip to Newport, RI to view the mansions and shops or a ferry trip to Block Island are easily managed from this location and offer their own New England coastal experiences.

Westerly has a significant arts community with live theater choices through out the summer and a wide variety of live music to enjoy.

Notes:
Renters are to leave the home as they found it. Linens cleaned and left in appropriate rooms, floors cleaned, dishwasher emptied, trash put in orange Town of Westerly bags and put in outside containers. A housekeeper will come and clean for you at the cost you arrange with them. Their contact information is located at the cottage.
