Lopez Island House Rental Photos and Description

Location: Swift’s Bay On Lopez Island In The San Juan Islands, Washington State.

Enjoy a very private setting with expansive views of Swift Bay, Thatcher’s Pass, ferry traffic and the Cascades from our special home.

The all cedar great room has a vaulted ceiling with comforting furniture, fireplace, large screen HDTV, Bose surround sound and uninterrupted views that leads to its own large deck looking southeast. The gourmet kitchen has Viking, Bosch, Miele and Subzero appliances. The imported granite countertops and sitting area lends itself to gourmet or casual cooking.

From the great room enter a stunning sunroom with fireplace, sitting and dining areas. Outside you will find a built-in infrared barbeque, separate outside sitting area, spacious hot tub and outdoor speakers. Enjoy 240 feet of private beach while gathering around an evening fire in the fire pit surrounded by natural log benches.

The large master bedroom has a separate deck looking Northwest to the ferry terminal, Spencer’s Landing Marina.

Downstairs is a guest bedroom and a separate office area with printer and Murphy bed. (Wireless High Speed internet throughout).

Relax in our knotty pine loft with separate TV for DVD Movie watching while overlooking the eastern San Juan’s.

The home is wonderful for one or two couples to enjoy a special vacation in the San Juan’s. We will do everything possible to make your experience extra special.

John and Ann Bronson - Have been in the Northwest 35 years. We raised our family in the Everett area where we owned and operated a local business. We both are golfers and John is an Avid Salmon fisherman.

John Bronson purchased this house in 1982

As a pilot flying out of Whidbey Naval Air Station, I was continually taken back by the remarkable beauty of the San Juans from the air. We found this exceptional property and built our vacation home in 1982-3 and have loved it ever since.

We believe you will find this an exceptional vacation value. The setting is very private with outstanding views. Deer come through our property nightly and bird life is abundant. Eagles often are seen on our beach.

Wonderfully Peaceful, Relaxing and Quiet - Great Home and Great Owners!

My two college kids and I stayed in this lovely home for 3 nights. The home was wonderful -with lots of space, great kitchen, very comfortable furnishings and beds. The views are spectacular. The home's location is very private which was a huge plus when sitting in the hot tub looking out at the beach, water, island views - it felt like you were a world away from civilization. (Although it was a quick jaunt to the grocery store just a few miles away and very close to the Ferry terminal) I would HIGHLY recommend this home! The owner, John is very attentive and is eager to make sure that your stay is FANTASTIC! I will definitely stay here again - hopefully soon!

Home away from home.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bronson family home on Lopez Island home. We are a very clean and uncluttered family and felt right at home! The housekeeper Keri obviously does a really good job, the house was immaculate.

The furnishings are well appointed, so we felt right at home. The kitchen & pantry is very well provisioned with most every tool any industrious cook will need. We easily made ourselves at home and created one gourmet meal after the other effortlessly! Lots of refrigerator space to load up with all your groceries. The high-end appliances and furnishings were also noted and very much appreciated. This place is really top notch and location is wonderful and convenient. The ferry is just a few minutes away, shopping is about 10 minutes away, the local fish farm is right across the road, walk from the house to get fresh seafood!!!
We spent our days walking the beach in front of the house as well as some of the other local state parks which each has something different to offer.

We will be back to enjoy this island, its peaceful pace, wonderful friendly community and when we do the first place we will look at to rent is the Bronson home!!

Beautiful homw and a stunning location

We met our adult daughter here for a wonderful 5 days. We enjoyed the house and Lopez Island. We hiked, biked and just relaxed in the lovely living room that looks over the Fisherman's bay. We could see the ferries pass and saw both otters and many birds.
This is a well equipped, quiet home that was very comfortable to stay in.
We highly recommend it and hope to return.

Prepare to have your Expectations Exceeded!

We had a phenomenal week with our grown children and their partners. The location of this home is beyond compare: a huge bay with pebble beach in the backyard and another, different bay on the other side! The yard includes a large lawn area for games and of course the fire pit (wood provided) and hot tub. We used all these extensively, and enjoyed many hours on the back deck. We saw many eagles, sea lions, and otters right from the deck!

The house itself is as described by the owner and by other reviewers; we could not have been more pleased. We did all our own meals and always found the pans and speciality pots we needed. Make sure you walk across the street and buy fresh clams, mussels, and Salmon! Launch your kayak right off the back deck and enjoy the bay! Outstanding high-end gas grill; be sure you plan on BBQ. The house is better equipped with games, videos, books, kitchen basics (bags, foil, etc.) etc. than any we have ever rented.

John, the owner, was super friendly and responded quickly to all my correspondence prior to our arrival and was quick to answer a few questions once we arrived. This is such an important factor that is NOT always the case with rentals. This was the vacation of a lifetime for us!!

Beautiful Rental!

We had a great time at this place; we ate fresh sea food that we bought from the farm directly across the street, we took walks along the waters edge and into the forest, we fished and watched wildlife from the comfort of our deck chairs, we played with our kids on the lawn and caught crabs under the rocks, we relaxed in the hot tub in the evenings as lit-up ferries passed silently by. The island is beautiful to explore and the near-by ferry system makes it easy to take day trips all around the area.

Thanks, John, for letting us stay in your home, it was so easy to make ourselves comfortable and do everything we wanted. The house has amazing views and is very private and is perfectly situated for entertaining and relaxing. There was plenty of space, it was stocked with everything you might need, and it was beautifully cared for.

If you are looking to vacation in the San Juan islands, this is house to stay at.
