We have been going to Vermont for many, many years and just love it. It is only 3 1/2 hours from the Connecticut shore and each time we go, it is well worth the trip. Each season highlights fun activities that our two boys love to do and of course, they love the winter. They began skiing at 2 years old, switching to snowboarding as they got older. They now like to do all of the other sports Vermont has to offer.
After traveling throughout Vermont for many years, we choose the Killington area to build our dream vacation home in the Green Mountains. This region had everything you could want for a great getaway, all within 20 miles. You can enjoy the quietness of a home in the mountains, the liveliness of the Killington access road, or you can head to the large city of Rutland to find everything that a big city offers from movies to restaurants to great shopping. On top of that, all around you are fun activities no matter what season it is.
As you can see, we choose this property because it is centrally located amidst an array of great attractions. You will surely never get bored!
This home is in a great area for enjoyment and recreation for all four seasons. It is located off of the most scenic road in Vermont, Route 100. The Town of Pittsfield which is located on the beautiful Tweed River is minutes from the house and from some of the best skiing, golfing, hiking, and lake activities in Vermont. If you love to snowmobile, the home is located on the VAST trail system. The area is known for great shopping and fabulous restaurants, many of which you will find on the Killington access road. There is great entertainment all year round with concerts, planned local activities, Killington's famous umbrella bars, mountain biking on Killington's mountains, the alpine slide at PICO ski resort just to name a few. A fabulous place to get away, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and have fun at the same time.
