You will love the pool

  • 4 of 5
My family and I had a great stay at the house. The house is very minimal, simple but still cozy for six people. What your really paying for is the pool and it's totally worth it. The pool is super clean and had everything we wanted.
These are just a few improvements that are needed: the faucet in the kitchen was super loose and you had to fiddle with it every time you turned the water on. The front bathroom shower was clogged and filled with bath water every shower. I opted to shower in the outdoor shower. And the gardener came early on mon and that woke us all up. Better directions for the spa pool heater would have been nice.
Other than that it was a nice place to stay. Loved the concrete floors, very clean.

Owner's Response: Hi Sarah - thanks for your feedback, and glad you loved the pool! I do too! Sorry about the faucet - previous tenants broke it and we've been waiting for a break in the schedule to properly replace it. I am also going to see is I can get the landscape work changed to another time. I know the guys like to come early to avoid the heat, but it is not what you want while on vacation. Your comments help make the next stay better for everyone...always let us know or call or text if there is a problem while you are at the house. We want it to be memorable for you.

Stylish Home with Lovely Pool

  • 4 of 5
This house has lots of nice features. We especially enjoyed swimming in the pool at midnight under the stars (it was still 75 degrees!), and the gorgeous view from the master bath shower. The air conditioning was not working properly when we arrived, so it was quite hot inside the house, but Kristina was very accomodating and had it repaired ASAP. There are lots of fun things to do in the Palm Springs area--we recommend a Hummer tour of Joshua Tree and the San Andreas.

Best Weekend of the Summer

  • 5 of 5
This home was the perfect location for a relaxing and entertaining bachelorette party. A group of 6 girls spent two nights here and the space was perfect. The pool was beautiful and provided all day entertainment. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us (especially compared to a hotel room). I researched for weeks on booking the perfect place to stay and this was the best deal. The girls loved the house and mentioned that they wanted to rent the house again some day. I have no regrets with renting this house... great location, spacious, clean, and fantastic price.

Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5
Darcey, we had a great weekend out in the desert. We have been renting houses in Palm Springs through VRBO for 10 years now. Your house is now our favorite. You have brought your Raquetclub Road Estates house into the 21st Century while still maintaining the charm of William Krisel's simple and elegant design. The first thing my wife and I said to each other when we walked through the house was, "This house has a good energy." The artwork has a lot to do with this. We were pleased to learn that the art was created by individuals living with disabilities. One of our sons is on the autistic spectrum with asperger's syndrome, and he thought it was cool that the beautiful painting over the sofa was created by someone who was autistic. My Mom came out to visit us on Saturday, and the first thing she said to us was, "This house has a good energy." Needless to say, all of last week's work stress melted away as I lay by the pool gazing at Mr. San Jacinto while the kids played water polo in the pool. Thank you again, and we will be back.

Owner's Response: What a delightful review Frank. Thank you and your family so much. Yes, the art in the house certainly adds to the ambiance and energy. You can learn more about the artists and the great center where they work at www.creativegrowth.org. We can't wait to have you back for another good energy boost!

Quick Family Vacation/Anniversary with the dogs!

  • 5 of 5
Darcey and Kristina were very responsive and helpful in helping us have a great family vacay. We stayed 4 days and pretty much hung out at the house and the pool with our kids. Since the owners allow dogs, we were also able to bring our two big pups to hang out with us.
There were a few minor issues which we notified the owners about and they quickly responded back offering to fix them. As a family, what we loved, was the easiness and flow of the living room and kitchen and the way it looked outside to the pool...we could quickly keep an eye out on the kids while we prepared food inside. We also loved (actually, the dogs loved it more) the concrete floors which I'm sure kept the house cool on the hot days. You'd think the floor to ceiling windows would make the house hot, but really, they must be double-paned because not only was it nice and cool inside, but I felt it kept out most of the noise of the hard blowing winds in the evening while we hung out in the living room.
There were a few pool toys/pool accessories for the kids to take advantage of and since we didn't want to take some of our own home, we added to the pool stash and left a couple for the next family to use. Darcey, hope you don't mind, but we bought a pooper scooper and also left it near the storage area for any others that need its helpful services in keeping the yard clean ;).
All in all, it was a great stay! We made our own meals so my only tiny complaint (very tiny) would be that I wish there were more different types of pots/pans to use, other than than, it was FANTASTIC! Kids loved the diving board, dogs loved the concrete floors, and the adults? We loved the peace and quite while everyone else was hanging out outside :). Thanks Darcey and Kristina, for making our short trip a great experience! This is definitely on our list for next year!
