Let Treffpunkt “Meeting Place” Tahoe be your home away from home. Breathe in the crisp pine air and enjoy the views from our deck or through the full sized windows of majestic trees, glimpses of the green meadow, and blue skies and lake interrupted only by sounds and sights of numerous birds and wood critters.

Our home is located in historic Al Tahoe with seconds away from a walk in the meadows and your private sunset on secluded meadow beach or a more active Regan beach. Upstairs you will find an open concept living room and kitchen with beautiful large windows, a large outside deck, fully stacked stainless steel kitchen, a large kitchen table, a computer nook and a comfortable living room area with gas fireplace and flat screen TV, bluray and Wi-Fi. Upstairs you will also find a master bedroom with California king bed and another flat screen TV and adjacent bathroom.

Downstairs there is a bedroom with queen bed, an open bunk bed area (twin over full bed) and another full bath. From downstairs you can also access the lower deck with a fenced yard, the garage, and of course the sizable spa tub.

We are only two miles to the casinos, and the slopes and well as only minutes away to recreational center (that offers ice skating and a swimming pool). The streets are flat so that you can ride your bike in the summer or have easy access driving during snowy winter months. And of course minutes away from numerous beaches and beautiful mountain hikes and delicious culinary possibilities.

About Owner/Property Manager

Matthias and I moved to California 10 years ago and fell in love with the Sierras. We enjoy hiking and snow sports and finally took the plunge and purchased this property in 2012. We consider it our 'Treffpunkt' a meeting place for us, our family, and friends to recharge and make new lasting memories. We hope it will have the same wonderful effect on you, your friends, and loved ones.

We chose South Lake Tahoe not only because of its proximity to outdoor activities but also because of its non-pretentious and youthful vibe. We can enjoy a peaceful hike with our dogs...hardly see a soul and in the same evening enjoy many of the outdoor concerts in the summer or rock it out until wee hours at one of the casinos.

Perfect winter getaway - we loved our stay!

This vacation home was perfect for our winter getaway. The house is bright and fresh with nicely decorated furniture and the view from the large living room wonderful and relaxing. The beds were super comfortable and the spa at the end of the day was certainly a treat for all. The location is perfect and I actually think our family with young kids had the most fun on the trip walking from the house each afternoon to the lake. The owners were great to deal with and offered fabulous food recommendations - the best Thai we've eaten for ages. We will definitely be back, maybe for a Summer rental next time. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home with us.

Great location, super clean dog friendly house

the house is very clean (cleanest hot tub I have ever seen in Tahoe, and we go very often :)) and cute - but the greatest thing is the proximity the the meadow / lake, where the dog can run off leash -

we had a great time, and will come back for sure

Wonderful Place!!

I have been going to Tahoe every year for a long weekend in February since 2006. And I've stayed at a different house everytime. This one I am planning on stayin at again.
It had two cozy bedrooms and an additional sleeping area, a large open living area with a fire and a kitchen and dining area. The backyard is fenced in, but beyond that there is a nature preserve, so it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The windows let in great light and it is beautiful. And it is only a five - ten minute drive to down town and the heavenly lifts.
Lastly, the hot tub was spacious and well kept. Great for an after ski soak.
In addition it is dog friendly. Angus, my dog, loved walking down the street to the nature preserve which leads you right to the lake.
We loved it so much we only made it out to dinner once and instead chose to sit by the fire and relax.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a great location within close proximity to skiing, casinos and restaurants. The house has a nice open floor plan and the gas fireplace made for a cozy place to curl up and watch the Super Bowl. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds and linens were super comfortable. Loved the cuckoo clock!

Highly recommend this property!

Modern, clean, great location!

I really enjoyed my stay at Treffpunkt Tahoe. The house is in a great location, close to Heavenly and South Lake Tahoe shops and restaurants. It is also close to the lake and paths/beaches that don't seem to be frequented by tourists. You can just walk out the front door and in 5 minutes you are at the lake. The place is very clean and fresh. Fresh sheets, blankets, hardwood floors, leather furniture, modern kitchen and a nice view of the woods in the back yard make for a very comfortable and stay. We used the hot tub and it was really clean and nice. We didn't experience any noise from the neighborhood/neighbors either. It was a very peaceful stay. I will definitely come back to Treffpunkt Tahoe!
