Beautifully renovated beach cottage offers couples a romantic retreat. Comfortable, modern, pristine, and stocked with all the amenities one could need for a luxurious week at the beach, the little cottage is a calm oasis in a private association with its own bay swimming beach a two minute walk away. Lounging on the roof deck overlooking the tree tops and out to the bay as the sun sets is a moment of summer bliss. With less than a ten minute drive you can enjoy all the craft and art galleries and two quality summer theaters of artsy Wellfleet, or go the other way and explore the wonderful restaurants and buzz of Provincetown, a town that is surrounded by the northern reaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. In season we recommend purchasing a week's beach pass for the use of Truro-resident-only beaches and enjoy swimming (carefully) with the seals and walking the extensive dunes of four wonderful ocean beaches. A stay in Truro at the cottage is perfect for those looking for a quiet village in the most remote part of Cape Cod, hidden off the always bustling Cape Route 6. Not much happily translates to two excellent fish markets, a wonderful fruit and vegetable farm store, a general store, a weekly farmer's market, the Truro Wine Vineyards, an old fashioned nine hole public golf course, a variety of small restaurants including a good ice cream shop, a vibrant Arts Center, and a Post Office. If you want more activity, you can rent sailboats or kayaks or simply go for one of many hikes, from either Wellfleet or Provincetown, and then retreat back to the cottage for several hours of solitude on the bay beach as the sun sets gently over the skyline of Provincetown across the water. When you eventually return to home base you can clean off in the outdoor shower, pop a bottle of wine while you fire up the grill and climb to the roof deck, or decide to head out to Blackfish or Terra Luna for delicious modern cuisine and pinch yourself as you contemplate that Truro and the little cottage really is a special oasis hidden in Outer Cape Cod.
