Gulf Front House, 4 Bedrooms + Florida Room, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 12)

The Outpost Gulf front beach house is a quaint, 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath cottage that sleeps 12. The real draw of this house is the location in the center of Panama City Beach and the gorgeous beach and Gulf views right in the back yard. If you are looking for a 5 star beach house, the Outpost is probably not for you. However, if you are more interested in a beautiful Gulf front property with a relaxing and rugged feel and all the basic comforts, you’re in the right place.

The Outpost has two separate living spaces. The main part of the house consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom, a guest bedroom with two queens and a shared bathroom, and a Florida room with two day beds that is ideal for kids. There is also a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. The main part of the house sleeps up to 10. The other two guest bedrooms are separate from the main house but are connected under the same roof. One has two twin beds and a full private bathroom. It is ideal for the in-laws or older children. The other guest bedroom has a full bed and a half bath just outside the room. Because these bedrooms are not connected inside the main part of the house, they are not ideal for small children.

The living room includes a new flat screen LCD TV that is not shown in the pictures. There is a TV in each of the bedrooms as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare and serve meals. The dishwasher was recently replaced and the counter tops were recently resurfaced. It is not a gourmet kitchen but includes all the essential appliances, cookware, and utensils. We have Wi-Fi with unlimited service. There is ample parking for up to 4 vehicles.

About Tom Ledman

In the early 1970s our father was the Commanding General of Fort Rucker, Alabama. During that time our parents discovered Panama City Beach and decided to live out their dream of owning a beach house. They purchased The Outpost in 1973 and it has been a part of our lives ever since. Over the years our family has spread out but we have kept the property in the family and regard it as a home base for gatherings. We love to visit and reminisce about the great times we have shared in this home, and on this beautiful beach. We feel like we own a piece of paradise and we invite you to stay with us to experience everything that continues to draw us to the beach. We hope to have you as our guest soon.

It was always a tradition for the family to come and visit the beach during the summers. We loved staying in the house during our childhood and continue to enjoy our regular visits to Panama City Beach.

We arrived late after a 12 hour ride from Texas to find a house with the 2 front beach side windows boarded up , kitchen floors filthy and the bedroom where my 2 year old granddaughter was staying had a large amount of rusty finishing nails in the carpet. We had no codes for internet access. The bathroom and shower doors are very ,very narrow and caused a problem with some of our guests. We decided to cook breakfast the next day , the oven didn't work. We were unable to get ahold of owner or rental office .Next day we heard from property manager who was very nice ,but it took 3 days to get someone out to fix oven . Windows were not replaced during our week stay. We had to mop floor before the baby could get down on them. Very old and in need of paint and repair . But the location and the beach could not have been more beautiful . Very private .I would not choose this house again due to it's condition but maybe one of the other surrounding houses.
