2 bedrooms apartment to sleep 4 to 5 in Sant'Apollinare, Perugia, Umbria

“It is difficult to explain what makes Monticchio different from the many other apartments that are available to rent in Umbria. What we are trying to create is a place where you feel relaxed and at home”.

This 17th century farm is being carefully restored, including the landscaping of its spacious grounds, in order to provide a unique holiday destination. There are two apartments to rent in one of the buildings; both are large units with private terraces. There is also a 20m x 5m pool shared between our guest and friends.

Details for Apartment 1 - 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5, 2 Bathrooms

The first apartment that we are presenting here is 135 square meter with a private terrace and can sleep 4/5 people. It is comfortably furnished and has a selection of books, games and a CD player with MP3 socket. There are two main bedrooms, the first one with an en-suite shower room and a second bedroom on the mezzanine level beside the second bathroom. There is a dressing room that can be used as a third bedroom if necessary.
About Andrew Fielder & Hugues Beranger

I originally trained as a furniture designer/maker and then studied art/architecture. Hugues is the linguist whose interests include cooking and history.

We should state that Monticchio is our permanent home and feel extremely lucky to live in such a wounderful place and enjoy sharing it with our guests.

Having bought the property and become involved in the local community we realise the responsibility we have taken on in restoring Monticchio. It will take many years to complete all the works but the friends we have made on this journey so far, prove that it is a worthwhile road to follow.

Also at Monticchio is: Fanny our Boxer dog, 3 cats Jasper, Sybille and Dora, plus Timo and Picco the two donkeys.

Casale Monticchio is located in the middle of a valley surrounded by woods, fields and hills. We are on a Nature walk that follows the river Nestore and the woods around us. Sant’Apollinare, the hamlet got a 13 century Castle and a Monastery. Spina the nearby village is 3 km away where you will find a mini supermarket, a butcher, a bar, a bank and a pharmacist.

The farmhouse is a perfect gateway for Umbria and southern Tuscany as we are less than an hour away from some of Italy’s major sites such as Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Trasimeno Lake, Todi and Gubbio.
