We have been vacationing in the area for over 20 years and were finally able to move to Colorado permanently and leaving the big city of Houston behind. We have 2 kids that are 11 and 13. They love it too! The sun is almost always shining and there are so many outdoor activities to keep us busy enjoying quality family time together. We would like to share that with you!
We enjoy traveling the world and have stayed in many VRBO properties in many countries. We are excited to have a home to share with other adventure lovers.
We had the opportunity to buy this 1928 Bungalow home in an area chocked full of history. We have compiled many books, movies, and newspaper clippings that were filmed or took place in the area for your enjoyment.
We feel this home has everything for a great vacation. It is very cozy to rest and renew. If you choose to keep busy that is available too! It is only 106 steps from the Arkansas River for world class fly fishing. There are plenty of trails to ride from the property. Hunting, Watching the wildlife, rock climbing, hiking, etc. are all available here. There is truly something for everyone here!
While the location is right on Highway 50 for convenience, it is so peaceful. The front porch is great for morning coffee and overlooking the Arkansas River. The mountains totally surround the property. Hunting abounds!
There is no telling what wildlife you may see in the back yard from day to day. There are Mule deer and Big Horn Sheep that are always close by. Lots of red and gray fox that stop in from time to time. The resident rabbits and chickens are fun to watch as well. The winter months bring our Bald Eagles back to their nest across the river.
The summer months guests are welcome to pick whatever is in season in the garden.
