Santa Fe House Rental Photos and Description

Quiet and Close to Key Sites: 2 Bed 2 Bath Adobe in Historic Eastside

Experience this authentic Santa Fe home on spectacular Garcia Street in the historic Eastside Santa Fe neighborhood. Nearby trails take you quickly to Canyon Road galleries, the downtown Plaza (less than a mile), the Capitol and Railroad districts. Smell the fresh mountain air and hear the Cathedral bells as you relax in the front or back portals.

This two -bedroom two-bath adobe is perfect for couples or a family or a group of friends exploring Santa Fe's many riches.

This renovated home is a sophisticated blend of contemporary and traditional Santa Fe, bringing casual elegance throughout. The home features beautiful hardwood floors, original thick adobe walls, and viga ceilings. Decorated with exquisite New Mexico art (both Spanish and Pueblo style) as well as traditional and contemporary furnishings, you'll be in Santa Fe style in no time.

Refrigerated air-conditioning, state-of-the-art HD flat-screen television (with basic cable, Apple TV and Xbox), wireless internet, allow you to ease into perfect relaxation, with every modern convenience.

The large living room features a welcoming corner Kiva fireplace. The plush red leather sofa turns into a Temper-pedic queen bed ideal for two. You'll enjoy the room's light and serenity as you relax by the fire.

The kitchen is well-equipped with Elba gas range and Sub-Zero refrigerator, Keurig coffee-maker, granite counters, dishwasher, and all the accoutrements to handle gourmet at-home cooking. Enjoy outside grilling with new Weber gas grill.

The separate dining room is casually appointed with a beautiful round dining table that easily seats four or can expand into a larger buffet. You may also enjoy dining in the rear portal with it’s comfortable patio table and chairs.

The light-filled large master bedroom includes a king bed and ‘en-suite’ master bathroom of glass, stone, and marble, with a walk-in glass shower. Also, there is a large walk-in master closet with plenty of shelving and drawers. You can lounge with your morning coffee and paper in the private patio just off the master bedroom bath.

The ample guest bedroom has two extra-long twin beds that can be transformed into a king bed - just let me know how you want it. In the second bathroom, sink into an extra-deep whirlpool spa bathtub for those long bubbling tub soaks after a day of exploring, hiking or skiing.

Excellent bedding: The beds are top end Sealy Posturepedic Optima and Restoration Hardware/Hotel Collection bedding have been selected for your comfort and enjoyment.

Near both bedrooms is a laundry room with energy-efficient washer and dryer. There is a basement to store your skis, bicycles, luggage, and other items.

I grew up in Santa Fe and attended the nearby 'Garcia St. Club' as a young girl. I've always loved this part of Santa Fe and so pleased to own this authentic, yet modern, adobe. I left New Mexico to attend Stanford University in California and have lived in the Bay Area since, now residing in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco.

In the Bay Area I'm a veteran of several Internet start-ups most notably Match.com and TRUSTe (privacy solutions). In San Francisco, I often rent my home and my guests invariably remark on its comfort, style and art. I hope you will will feel the same at my house on Garcia St.

Fran purchased this house in 2013

To me, Garcia St. is quintessentially Santa Fe. Beautiful homes and 'compounds' adorn both sides of the long boulevard as it climbs toward the Santa Fe foothills. My property is nestled in a historic compound with an exceptional setting and location.

When you enter the quiet lane and you will immediately feel the serenity of the natural peace and quiet and take in the fresh mountain air.

On foot (and through the secret shortcut) you can easily explore the old adobe filled neighborhoods, jaunt over to Museum Hill, take an art amble on Canyon Road, and go to the historic Plaza - less than a mile - for the many restaurants and entertainment options.

During the winter, easy access up to the Santa Fe ski area (16 miles).

Inside: The home is quiet, warm and comfortable with all the authentic Santa Fe features you'd want: Viga ceilings, Kiva fireplace, hardwood floors and thick adobe walls. Excellent New Mexican art!

In addition to the incredible location and setting, this home offers air conditioning, updated kitchen and bathrooms, large outside portal in back and private portal off master bedroom. The home is expertly decorated and includes all the conveniences you want including a gourmet 's kitchen with everything you might need. Check out the incredible New Mexico art (and a bit of San Francisco too).

We were lucky enough to stay a month in Santa Fe and chose Gorgeous on Garcia as our home away from home. What a great choice! This home really feels like a home.....with beautiful and comfortable furnishings, luxurious linens, lots of supplies and other amenities. And the owner is attentive, and immediately available for any questions. Definitely a 5-star stay!

We found this home to be the best we have visited in Santa Fe. The furnishings, décor, quality of finishings, etc. exceeded our expectations. We loved the wood floors, Sub Zero refrigerator, granite counter tops, Tempurpedic beds, wood burning fireplace, etc. The home is close to the city center, although walking is a little further than we wanted. The home is tasteful and well appointed. We will stay here again!

Looking for a quiet place to rest, relax and refresh yet close enough to do some strolling, sightseeing and dining. We found THE place - Gorgeous on Garcia

Off the beaten path (in a nice neighborhood), hard to find (all the better), cozy (with all the comforts of home) and beautifully appointed (Southwest style very nice), this was an absolutely wonderful stay for the three of us. Mom and Dad (retired senior citizens) and daughter (corporate exec) found it hard to leave at the end of our stay.

The three of us take an annual trip and found this to be one of our most enjoyable mostly due to our accommodations at Gorgeous on Garcia. We'll be back again without a doubt.

A Wonderful Week

I spent a wonderful week here with my husband. Our adult daughter joined us for three days. We have been vacationing in Santa Fe for over 40 years and have rented many homes. This house is on the top of my list. It is comfortably furnished, the kitchen well equipped and the fireplace was welcomed on the cold evenings. The location is ideal. We enjoyed walking to Canyon Rd & the close proximity to the square made it convenient. It was too cold to use the back patio table for meals but hope to return in warmer weather.
