Relax in this 2800 sq ft condo ( sleeps 8 ) complete with first floor master suite. There are 2 beautiful, wood burning fireplaces. We fell in love with the Stonybrook Resort because of its proximity to everything in the Stowe area. Additionally, at the end of our dead end street is a swimming pool and tennis courts for summer. Plus in winter, we go hiking & snowshoeing or use our X-C Skis on the trails surrounding our property that the resort maintains year round. The management here is truly remarkable - they plow, cut the grass, salt the walkways provide firewood, etc. Our photos tell the story in terms of comfort & style - home is set up in neutral forest tones with a 'Pottery barn' feel in the bedrooms. First floor has front deck entrance leading into a spacious mud room, as of December, we will have a brand new, top of the line cook's kitchen complete with granite countertops and all new appliances including a commercial 6 burner stove. Our kitchen will be open into the living room with plenty of couter space, 4-counter stools and wine refrigerator. We have a farm table in dining room that seats 10, vaulted living room overlooking our 'lake or large natural pond', modern 1/2 bath and a separate master bedroom suite complete on the first floor with beautiful bathroom boasting radiant heat, 2 sinks, whirlpool & separate glass enclosed tiled shower. Master bedroom has stone, wood-burning fireplace, private deck, double closets and plenty of drawer storage. First floor is finished off by a three season screened in porch overlooking the water. Second floor has 2 additional bedrooms ( one with queen bed/pvt deck w mountain views and the second bedroom has 1-queen bed and 2-twin beds. These 2 bedroom share the oversized bath. Lastly, there is a very large great room that we use as our TV room and office.
What a wonderful condo very cozy with everything needed has a family of 5. Love the location, private but close to everything. We will absolutely be back to Stowe and will rent this condo again. On our trip we skied at Stowe, drove to candice, went sledding, saw Von Trapp house, made an adorable snowman in the front yard, we names him " Bean" and had some fantastic food. The Whip, Vermont Ale House, Piecasso, Harrison's all fantastic and service at Pinnacle for ski rentals was great. Being from Florida we appreciated all this little charming town has to offer. How could I forget our day in Burlington on frozen Lake Champlain and a visit to Ben and Jerry's. Cant wait to come back!

Louise worked for the Stowe area Assn in the winter of 1978 and always loved being in Stowe. Over 30 years ago we began coming to Stowe for Ski vacations and always dreamed of owning a second home in this location. We looked at many single homes and condominiums and chose Stonybrook because of its unique location and benefits.
We chose the Stonybrook resort because of it location, halfway between Mt. Mansfield and the charming town center. Additionally, we are steps from the 5 mile town recreation path that connects the two where we walk and bike in the summer and Cross-Country Ski in the winter. We are walking distance to popular restaurants. As if this is not enough...the resort contains multiple tennis courts, swimming pools and a club house with fitness room, game room, hot tub and a sauna.
In summer there is so much to do - easy to advanced hiking trails to waterfalls or many of the Stowe Land Trust preserved areas. Walk to the Crop or Piecasso restaurant for lunch outside w/local micro brew. 5 min. to Trapp family Resort w/ beautiful vistas or go kayaking in our nearby waterways. Go golfing or Play tennis (take a lesson) or relax by the pool. Shop in town, visit sculpture gardens/art galleries. Go to Top Notch or Spruce Peak for a massage and relax at their spa - enjoy their views and unique pools winter or summer for the day. Stonybrook has few golf holes for putting or go to one of the area 18 hole golf courses or mini-golf with the family. Movie theater, ice cream stores and super markets nearby. Remember Montreal is 2 hours away and a day trip to Burlington is also a fun outing.
