ACROPOLIS FRESH:+Location,A/C,WiFi,Cable,Museums,Metro, Sights

We spent a week in this apartment, and found everything to be really good. We arrived after a long flight from the UK on a Saturday night, and the owner was very helpful in getting us setup.

The decoration of the apartment is new and quite modern, and it's nice to have a separate living and bedroom areas. It was very clean, and plenty of spare linen and towels were provided. Even though it was March the outside temperature was quite warm and the A/C worked really well and made the place comfortable . The open plan kitchen is fully equipped and worked really good for us and the bathroom isn't massive, but it's got everything you need in there (also very clean as well!). WiFi speed was very satisfactory.

The big plus is its LOCATION! It is in a very safe neighbourhood 2 blocks away from the Acropolis monument and we actually took a daily coffee at the coffee shops around the Acropolis pedestrian before starting the day. It is literally 5 minutes walk to the amazing new museum and right next to the Plaka area which is a great place to find tavernas and have lovely drinks at night. The Acropolis tube station is also very near as well (just outside the new acropolis museum). The area is also a lot more chilled out than other central areas, so it is nice to get back and relax after a day of sightseeing!

Overall the apartment more than contributed to an amazing Athens trip for us, and I would certainly consider going back again. Paris, thanks for your hospitality!

This apartment is in a great location just blocks from the acropolis. It is small, but well-equipped. There is a fairly large grocery store a block away so you can utilize the kitchen to help offset your dining out budget should you wish. The washing machine and fold out drying rack were a welcome feature! Everything worked well including the air conditioning and hot water heater. The only small issue (of the burnt out light bulb variety), had Paris arriving later the same day to put things to rights. With the Divani acropolis Hotel next door you can dine on the roof-top restaurant with a view of the acropolis lit up at night - the food and the service is superb! If you take any tours, you can also use the Divani as a pick-up and drop off point which we used several times. The New archeological Museum is just a few blocks down the street - well worth a visit - and is also a stop for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus which I highly recommend as it gives you an overview of those attractions that you want to go back to explore at your leisure.
A few minutes walk puts you into areas like Plaka and Monastiriki where you will find ruins, shops, cafes, metro, vendors, musicians, artists, and even an outdoor theatre! Every side of the acropolis has its wonders to explore. Be sure to eat at a rooftop restaurant with a view of the acropolis - at least once during the day and once at night. Take a day trip to at least one of the islands. Walk into old Plaka and have a candle lit dinner under a canopy of trees whose branches interwine overhead. Go to both archeological Museums and be in awe of the artistry. Enjoy. We certainly did! We were delighted by athens - and this apartment was situated in the perfect location to allow us to explore to our hearts content, and was reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend it!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this apartment and think its a top choice for a city break to Athens. As well as being very well kept and nicely decorated the real plus is the location. It litterally took us five minutes to walk to the Acropolis, New Acropolis museum and the surrounding shops, resteraunts and attractions. You're in easy walking distance to the majority of attractions and sites and we really felt we got the best experience of Athens by staying there.

The property owner was very professional, very helpful and made the booking process as easy as possible. I would definitely recommend the property to a anyone travelling on their own or as part of a couple.
