Excellent self-catering apartment

We spent 6 days at Marlyn Lodge (a couple with a teenager in a studio with a roll-out bed).
Pros: perfect location (not only two tube stations but also a stop of RV1 bus nearby, the bus is convenient for exploring South Bank, including Borough Market, London Eye, and getting to London Bridge station); well-equipped; self check-in/out (important if as in our case you arrive at 2am);
easy booking process with prompt feedback from the owners; stable WiFi; nice service (towel change and adding toilet paper).
Contras (closely related to pros): noise. Roughly, half of the apartments look at a busy road, which
is inevitable in central London. Owners made all possible efforts to solve the problem: tilted windows
reduce the noise to almost zero level, and you can refresh using either a portable air-conditioner, or
one or two ceiling ventilators (for us one of them was quite enough).
All in all, strongly recommended.

A good experiece y a good appartment

We are a Spanish couple who took three years for these apartments. There are a range of apartments, ours is for two people. The situation is completely central is five minutes walk from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Have buses, the underground station and suburban station even closer of Tower. There are many deals around, restaurants, supermarkets, public transport and beautiful walks. Regarding the apartment is good furnished, daily cleaning and a thorough cleaning every week. The staff is very friendly and solved any issues or needs you have. The value for money is very good.

Good choice

Apart a little issue at arrival (we didn't find the apartment key), promptly solved by the landlord, all was quite fine.
Nice location: 5' by foot from the Tower Bridge, very close to underground and to a lot of restaurant, pub and market.
The apartment is OK, well organized, but exposed on a noisy road.
All things considered I recommend it.

"Hello Christine and Andrew
Sorry for the late email.
Just wanted to let you know that everything was perfect with the flat.

The only thing we could have asked was air conditioning!!
But, as Andrew told me, what can you do about weather?

Thank you again for everything.
The apartment, the location, María and her portuguese partner ( sorry i didn't catch her name ) even the Tesco store around the corner, everything add up to a perfect vacation.

We are already making plans for next year ( as always, one week in London is not enough )"

Adding to the email:

The flat was in an excellent location both for the tube and multiple buses, even 1 tube station from Liverpool Street Station where we catch the train for Liverpool.
5 minutes walk to two tube stations.
Very east to get back from anywhere in London (Just look for London Tower).

We are a couple with a 9 y/o son. The flat could have accommodated one more person (sharing the sofa bed).

Booking, payment ,getting the keys and checking out was flawless.
Christine and Andrew were always prompt answering our emails/calls prior and during our stay.

WiFi was a 6/10.
Multiple flats share the available connections (around 10 connections) but our unit did not have its own, so speed was iffy.
Sometimes very good , other times just enough to check email, but always available.

We are definitely coming back to Marlyn Lodge in our next trip to London.

The location is great for visiting the historic & iconic sights within the City of London inc. St Paul's, Bank of England, Lloyd's, Girkin etc. We are situated only FIVE minutes walk from the Tower of London, the famous Tower Bridge & St. Katherine's dock with its bars & restaurants. Across the river, if your feeling brave, is the London Dungeon Exhibition. Pleasure boats depart from nearby Tower Pier both down river to Greenwich & up the river to Westminster and beyond stopping at various points including the London Eye & Shakespear Globe Theatre. A bus service (number 15) stops in Minories (located at the end of Portsoken Street) for Trafalgar Square, the Mall and Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, London theatres and other attractions in the West End. The nearest underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District lines and is a few minutes walk from the apartments.
