Excellent séjour!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 5 jours à Londres. L'appartement de Marlyn Lodge est extrêmement agréable, propre, bien meublé, cuisine bien équipée. Il est situé dans un endroit très calme. Le personnel est très gentil, il y a un service d'étage quotidien, les poubelles sont vidées, les serviettes changées. Une superette se trouve juste derrière le bâtiment. très pratique!

L'appartement est très bien situé très proche de la Tour de Londres, nous avons pu faire de nombreuses visites sans prendre les transports en commun. Il est également très bien desservi par le métro et le bus.

Le système de remise des clés est très fonctionnel nous sommes arrivés tard la conciergerie était fermée et nous avons pu récupérer les clés sans problème.

Le propriéraire Andrew nous a fait parvenir de nombreux mails pour nous informer de toutes les démarches, très pratique!

Un seul petit bémol, nous étions 4, 2 adultes et 2 ado, le lit de la grande chambre était très bien mais en revanche le canapé d'appoint a un matelas de 120 et conviendrait mieux pour une seule personne que pour 2 ado, mais c'est un détail par rapport au reste!

Un bon plan à conseiller: Prévoir un matin d'aller prendre un vrai petit déj anglais au "breakfast club" rue Artillery Lane dans le quartier Spitalfields. Les petits déj sont excellents et le cadre super sympa c'est à 15 minutes à pied du logement et on peut prolonger la matinée dans ce quartier typique avec son marché et son architecture de briques.

Dans le même quartier ce trouve un excellent fish and ship: "Poppies" Hanbury street au décor des années 50 à tester aussi!

Je recommande vivement cet appartement.

Si nous revenons à Londres c'est sur nous retournerons à Marlyn Lodges!

Good place, Good Stay

I was in Marlyn Lodge with my family (2 children) in January and Marlyn Lodge was a real surprise; in a very central place, near to tube station.

Just around the corner there is a very useful market; the apartament was just like we needed, little but very well equiped.

And last but not least, it's cheaper then other places in the area; I suggest Marlyn Lodge for sure.

Très bonne situation, presque parfait sauf..

L'appartement est très bien placé à tout point de vue (visite et transports, quartier agréable et relativement calme pour un centre ville). Les photos sont tout à fait conformes à la réalité, c'est spacieux, chaleureux, propre et confortable, il y avait beaucoup de serviettes de toilette, de linge, et même quelques produits de base

. C'est plutôt calme et tout s'est bien passé (mail d'instruction, récupération des clés etc...)Le personnel que nous avons rencontré était très sympathique, particulièrement la dame du

ménage )

Je mettrais 5/5 car à tous points de vue, c'était bien, sauf un bémol : le canapé du salon (pour lequel nous avons payé en plus 30 livres /nuit était totalement inconfortable et je dirai même impraticable pour nos deux enfants de 13 et 17 ans. Je l'ai testé personnellement et c'était une torture de dormir dedans. Nous avons donc du improviser du camping avec matelas à terre, heureusement que la femme de ménage a bien voulu nous donner des draps supplémentaires.C'est dommage, cela a un peu gâché la bonne image générale. Je recommande donc cette location pour un couple mais sans utilisation du canapé lit, donc pas pour une famille .

I am sorry that you found the sofa bed uncomfortable, we do have many people who use it who do not have difficulties and we replace them to keep them as new as possible. If you had contacted us while you were staying with us we could have given you a secondary mattress or another bed to try but it is difficult to do anything when we don't hear from our guests. We are glad you enjoyed everything else that we offered and hope you do try us again if you return to London. Thanks Christine

The location is great for visiting the historic & iconic sights within the City of London inc. St Paul's, Bank of England, Lloyd's, Girkin etc. We are situated only FIVE minutes walk from the Tower of London, the famous Tower Bridge & St. Katherine's dock with its bars & restaurants. Across the river, if your feeling brave, is the London Dungeon Exhibition. Pleasure boats depart from nearby Tower Pier both down river to Greenwich & up the river to Westminster and beyond stopping at various points including the London Eye & Shakespear Globe Theatre. A bus service (number 15) stops in Minories (located at the end of Portsoken Street) for Trafalgar Square, the Mall and Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, London theatres and other attractions in the West End. The nearest underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District lines and is a few minutes walk from the apartments.
