I was born, raised and have lived my entire adult life in Portland. I love this city! Although we have our fair share of liquid sunshine, we don't have the extreme weather that other parts of the country seem to get. The Pacific Northwest, Oregon and the Portland area offers a plethora of outdoor activities so it makes perfect sense to me as an ideal place to come visit, play and work if that's on your agenda.
I had a check list and a budget. This condo checked off all the boxes. I am a Realtor and the words we know so well are: location-location-location. That was at the top of my list. This location needed to be either on or within 1 block of the electric streetcar line. The streetcar is right outside the front door! It couldn't get any closer than that. From then on it was more aesthetics...An actual outdoor space large enough to sit and enjoy our spectacular spring, summer and fall weather; an easy to use and Eco friendly gas fireplace for enjoying cozy winter nights; space layout that could accommodate comfortable furniture where you could entertain if you wanted; a kitchen that is large enough and with enough counter space that someone would enjoy living here full time if they so desired and completely furnished for everyday cooking; a bedroom that was large enough for a king sized bed; secure building parking for those with cars and the list goes on.
I have a dear friend with allergies. I was looking for a place she could rent for several weeks. I have a dog so she wasn't able to stay with me. I called many places either to find out they allow pets or had other allergy causing substances in the furnishings. Necessity is the mother of invention they say, so voila, here is my offering...Premier Pearl Rental.
Oregonians are notoriously environmentally conscious citizens of our planet. I mirror that mindset. I have been very diligent about using as many earth friendly, sustainable, and recycled products as i could while still staying within my budget. After staying here, if you have suggestions and ideas about products that you have used that you like, i would love to know about them.
I purchased this condo in December, 2012 and have substantially updated many, many items in this great space. You will be staying in an 'almost' new condo!
All within 200 steps of the building front door are one of the most popular urban parks, Jamison square, the Portland streetcar that can help you navigate all the downtown area, some of the best hand crafted ice cream the city has to offer at cool moon, one of my personal favorites piazza Italian, authentic & delicious and very popular for both lunch and dinner, one of the newest restaurants in this 'foodie' town, the Jamison. With a walk score of 95, this prime location will take you to dozens and dozens of other award winning restaurants, lively bars, jovial gathering places, and boutique shopping; live theater at the gerding theater; a major medical hospital, good Samaritan; general grocery shopping 3 blocks away at safe way, and the more upscale grocery stores of city market and whole foods each within 10 blocks of this location; or enjoy tea at one of Portland's greatest treasures, the Lan Su Chinese garden. With the convenience of the Portland streetcar right outside the door to take you beyond the pearl and perhaps to our light rail system max, makes this the premier location for your Portland stay.
