This VRBO was my first one. That being said I had many questions. The owner answered them all very promptly. When my group of six arrived we were welcomed with an amazing place for us to enjoy while in New Orleans. It had space for all six of us to sleep and stow away our luggage. The décor and furnishings were great. The bead tree and boas were our favorites. When we were ready to explore the French Quarter we had only steps to take to get to Bourbon Street.
As it says in the title...Great Place! Great Location! I can't wait to stay here again.
This place is amazing! The apartment is beautiful! There were 6 of us who stayed here for 5 days during Mardi Gras and it was perfect! There is a ton of space and we had no problems getting in each other's way. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful and a pleasure to rent from. This was my first time using vrbo.com and it definitely will not be my last.
Our group might make this a yearly tradition! The apartment is so close to all of the action. The food, bars, Bourbon, Canal and everything you want when you visit New Orleans. We were there for Mardi Gras and it was completely safe for the girls in our group to walk back to the apartment periodically during our excursions. The building is safe and secure. The owners leave a wonderful book with an abundance of useful information related to the area for you!
Everything you need is in the apartment. I cannot express enough how perfect this apartment is for a New Orleans vacation. And again, the owners are amazing! We all felt like we were at home and we had an amazing time! We hope to go back during a slower time to see more of the places we couldn't see last month!
A friend and I stayed in this condo for 3 nights last weekend, and we absolutely loved it. You can't beat the location. It was so easy to go back to the condo after lots of walking around the French Quarter and relax before getting ready for dinner. The condo itself was perfect for the 2 of us. It was nice to have the extra room to be able to sit in the living room and have morning coffee and relax. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well-stocked with all kinds of cookware and dishes. Also, as 2 females traveling together, we felt safe in this location, since the door to the building was only accessible to residents/guests, and the door to the condo had a secure deadbolt. I also have to mention how pleasant Mr. Andersen was to deal with. He accommodated a couple of special requests for us, and he has always sent a quick email response to any questions I had. Just a good all-around experience, and I would absolutely stay here again!
Unfortunately, I will not make it to New Orleans to actually stay in this rental, but I felt compelled to write a review because the owner has been so fabulous and so understanding that I had to cancel my trip for Mardi Gras weekend! I never write reviews but he has been exceptional to work with. When I make it out to New Orleans, this will be the first place I inquire about in the future just based on my interactions with the owner.
I would definitely stay here again! Slept six girls comfortably. Apartment was very clean. There were plenty of towels and linens and even a washer and dryer if needed. The pool was smaller than expected but it didn't matter because this place truly is a step away from Bourbon Street. It's convenient and the gated property is safe. Surprisingly quiet given the proximity to Bourbon...you'd have no idea that it's right outside! The property owner is a pleasure to deal with -- Extremely helpful and responds to all inquiries quickly. No delay in having our deposit returned either, which is great after a weekend away. Ready to plan a return trip!!
We had the most fun while staying. The condo was great!! Everything was there and we were so close to the strip we could sit outside and hear the music. Locked gate gave me extra safe feeling as well. Having a full kitchen and laundry were great. We were able to save money by filling up the place with food since we were there 5 days, and being able to wash clothes was nice so we were able to pack out bags easier when it was time to go. I definetly reccomend this for your stay. I had only one issue and it was the pool, it needed to be cleaned more often as its up in the sunlight and that breaks down the chemicals faster. But That was my only negative.
The “Big Easy” speaks for itself! You’ll find award winning restaurants, amazing nightlife and live entertainment, street musicians and performers and local street artists. Enjoy café aulait at the Cafe DuMonde, Take a haunted history tour including our famous above ground cemeteries and other 'haunted' houses in the French Quarter, a swamp tour, a riverboat jazz dinner cruise, a romantic carriage ride. Go to Harrah’s Casino, museums, jazz and music clubs, Audubon Park, the aquarium, St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. Take a paddle-wheeler to the world-class zoo just up river. Visit nearby plantations. Then there are the sounds of New Orleans: Music, especially Jazz, listening to the calliope from the Steamboat Natchez and the clip clop from the carriage rides and the bells from the St. Louis Cathedral. All unique to this magical city! And of course, can't forget to mention, the famous historical intricate wrought iron balconies and unique architectural buildings that make the French Quarter so distinctive and special.
