My wife MJ and I purchased this home as a weekend getaway. We take take care of her father who is ill and don't have the availability to enjoy it as often as before. We live in the Tampa, St Pete area and had the home furnished for our weekend use. We have been in Tampa for 30 years.
Colleen McLachlan purchased this house in 2009
Proximity to everything is special to us. A walk on the beach, ride on the pinellas trail, dinner in Downtown St Pete. There is just so much less then 15 min away.We come here Friday night and enjoy happy hour on our dock and grill on the porch or order pizza and have it delivered. We don't want to leave. I am sure you will feel the same.
Early morning coffee on the dock or sunsets with a glass of wine after 5 are a huge hit in this quiet neighborhood. The wonderful weather in the winter allows you to be outside and enjoy the sun more.
Our month here was about as close to paradise as we could possibly get! The neighborhood was very quiet and the location is ideal--a few minutes drive to Treasure Island beach on one side and less than 15 minutes to downtown on the other. Lots of shore birds on the waterside and even on the lawn and dock. We never used the two-person kayak, but we did use the two fishing rods right off the dock , with great success. Two minor issues: For a home that supplied just about everything, there could have been a few more pots and pans for cooking, although we made do. Second, the TV system had a mind of its own, and even when you finally got where you wanted to go, the sound would suddenly cut out and you then had to find the right remote and push the right button to get it going again. The owner was always quickly available and eager to help with this or any other problem. Very nice people. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
My husband and I CANNOT say enough about this beautiful spot on Treasure Island. First and foremost, the owners are just simply the best you could ever expect! Your every wish is their command!!! The house and grounds are immaculate with any amenity you could desire............granite kitchen, comfortable beds/bedding, large screen TV, accessible baths...................and our favorites....the comfortably furnished lanai and DOCK!!! My husband has so enjoyed fishing daily. Having our cocktails and watching the wild parrots, dolphins, mullet jumping, beautiful sunsets........this truly is a paradise found.
"WE WILL BE BACK" - Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful 'baby' with us Alan and Mary Jane!!!
Just a short 2 mile walk to the beautiful Treasure Island beach where there are many activities for all ages. Pinellas County Bike trail is 1 mile away, where you can ride for 40 miles. The Tyrone shopping mall is 2 miles away and has many popular restaurants. Must say that our favorites are on the beach, where we can always dress casual.
