Overview

Bend Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

Charming newly restored 2 bedroom 2 bath home in old Bend downtown neighborhood.

This 1926 home has been newly restored to bring it's old time charm back to life with contemporary conveniences.

The new kitchen has oak cabinets with granite counters, copper sink, and new appliances including a washer and dryer.

Refinished hardwood floors throughout this home gently remind us of it's past with character and warmth.

The 2 bedrooms are furnished with luxurious queen beds and the master has a new private bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower. The hall bath too has new tiled tub/shower and marble floor.

Guests are sure to gather in the spacious living/dining room or outside in the private backyard setting or front fenced yard, that offer privacy yet a view to the neighborhood.

We are just a few blocks from downtown and one block from Jackson's Corner, the local corner lunch and dinner eatery with adult beverages. Strictly Organic coffee is just 2 blocks away, and Between the Covers book store is just around the corner.

Something is sure to be happening and you will be just steps away from it all in this cozy home.

About Gretchen Palmer

We have lived in Central Oregon for over 40 years, building homes and communities in Sunriver, Bend, Redmond and Sisters. Having lived near downtown ourselves, this home exemplifies our favorite neighborhood that Central Oregon has to offer!

Gretchen Palmer purchased this bungalow in 2011

Why Gretchen Palmer chose Bend

This home is an ideal location for all the events that we enjoy in Central Oregon. Within walking distance to the numerous restaurants and shops in downtown and the Old Mill, this home is perfect! An easy stroll in a quaint neighborhood brings back memories of a less complicated lifestyle. Access is easy to the road to the mountains and the lakes where the paths and trails beckon.

What makes this bungalow unique

The charm of this 1926 home is warm and inviting, from the arched doorways and hardwood floors to the old school lighting and even retro door hardware. The new somewhat art-deco ceiling fans and fixtures harken back to simpler times while providing guests with today's conveniences.

A charming home with an exceptional location in downtown Bend.

A perfect little cottage in Bend

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage is right in the center of Bend. It is only a few blocks from downtown and the Old Mill District. Even though it is on a busy street, you don't hear a thing because of thick windows and insulated walls! The interior of the house is adorable. All decor is brand new with luxurious linens and towels. It is very comfortable and incredibly well stocked for a rental. Gretchen was also very helpful before and during our stay. We would love to stay again!

Again, a Wonderful Home to Enjoy~

  • 5 of 5

First, I would like to correct my last review when we stayed here a month ago!! I meant to type 4 chairs, not 2, and I totally forgot the 2 they had in the kitchen!!! Sorry!!!!!

Now, for this 2 night stay....again, we had a lovely time!! We walked downtown for a family dinner at 900 Wall, which was lovely and we all enjoyed the closeness to downtown, so we could walk and not worry about trying to find a parking space at Christmas time!!!

The home was well stocked again, and we played games with the grandkids and daughters/spouses(10 of us) for hours!! This home is perfect for small families, couples or even two couples. Both bathrooms are wonderful, and very well stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The towels are super nice too. The kitchen is huge, and has everything you need and more!! My only recommendation for others staying here is to bring a hair dryer. We didn't see one, but then again, I might have missed it!!

We will be visiting this beautiful home again! It is PERFECT~

Wonderful stay in Bend!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful home for two nights while we celebrated an early Thanksgiving with my daughter, grand kids and son in law. We had a perfect time!! We brought our little babies(doggies) and loved it here too!! The kitchen was well stocked with almost everything we needed. I am a huge tea lover, and they even had some green tea!! It is super clean and there is plenty of hot water, which is really needed with the 25 degree morning we had!!! The only thing I would recommend is we had the grand kids and daughter/husband come over for dinner and games and there are only 2 chairs. If you need more "seats" you will need to bring a few folding chairs!! We are staying in this home again at Christmas time and will stay again, and again, when it is available!! Thanks to the owners for such a wonderful home to stay in while visiting Bend!! I really hate to leave a 5 star review because it will be harder for us to rent, but in all honesty, this is a beautiful home in EVERY way!!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your visit! I am sorry the 4 dining room chairs and the 2 kitchen stools did not meet the needs of your gathering. I hope you will let me know how we can best meet your needs in the future and we can certainly do so!! We look forward to a future visit and thank you again for choosing our bungalow!

Perfect Location and cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect location - walking distance to downtown and old mill district. The cottage is cozy and well decorated and furnished. The kitchen is very nice and roomy - wish we could've stayed longer. Gretchen is quick to respond and very easy to work with. Perfect vacation home for up to 4. Will definitely be back :)

This was the perfect rental for our Bend trip. We were easily able to walk to breweries, restaurants, and shopping. The home was clean and comfortable for our party of 4.
