Lake Tahoe is a magical place to be both summer and winter. Please feel free to call me with any questions.

Lake Tahoe is unparallel to any other destination I've been to in the world. The skiing in the wintertime is suburb, the beaches at the Lake in the summertime is liked being in Hawaii. White sand and crystal blue water. The weather is perfect and concussive to doing anything you want outdoors, year-around..

The location and privacy. Homeowners and their guests have access to a private parking lot right across the street from the Sherwood lift at Alpine Meadows. You can walk there from the house, or park there and hop on the lift! There is also a warming hut by the lift that serves BBQ, hot chocolate, beer, etc and lots of chairs.

I like both seasons. The skiing speaks for itself, but in the summertime there are tons on trails to explore around the house. Page Meadows is a popular trail system located a block away. The house is just up from the Lake at Sunnyside Resort which has a great restaurant with huge deck on piers right on the lake. You can spend all day here watching the wooden boats come in for a beverage or dining. You can access the bike path here and ride to River Ranch which is a beautiful ride along the Truckee River. Once you get to River Ranch, you can enjoy another great deck for dining while watching the river rafters come in. Rafting is a fun thing to do also.

Tahoe City has lots of restaurants and shops to enjoy. There is always something going on there to add to a weekend.

Even though there are tons of things to visit in Lake Tahoe, I totally enjoyed just hanging out in the house and on the deck. You really feel away from it all, but are close to everything. Plus...the views from this house are incredible.

Serene Hideaway!

My family rented this house in late Aug just for an extended weekend (10 adults). It was clearly a loved home, and it was a lovely visit. My husband and I were in the back MST. bedroom with the King; we woke to the lovely sound of birds chirping and to the beautiful site of trees spread against the sky. The window above the bed looks into the forest with tall pine trees with tons of squirrels climbing around. The smell of the pines was intoxicating. Coming from the city, we had forgotten how special it is to be in the mountains. The beds were also quite comfortable with extra pillows and bedding. The kitchen was well appointed, and found the granite countertops easy to keep clean ( my husband and I are talking about changing ours! ) The great room has a nice sectional and the views from this room are spectacular. The 2 sliding glass doors were left open and we spent the days on the sunny deck totally enjoying the sounds and smells of the pines while looking at view.

There were fun board games, movies and some books in addition to the small pool table. There is national forest land pretty right out the backyard, and one of the marinas is less than a 5 minute drive (you can rent kayaks and boats there). There is also a beach we enjoying picnicking at next to the restaurant on the Lake. Across the street from the beach is a bike rental shop which we took advantage of 1 day and rode to River Ranch for lunch. It was the 1st time we spent anytime on the bike path and/or Truckee River and it was really enjoyable.
Even thought the cabin is surrounded by open space, we were just a few minutes to downtown Tahoe City. Lots of great Lake front restaurants and fun shopping. Try Jake on the Lake for happy hour.
Really fun weekend and the cabin and location was just what we were hoping for.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The chalet provided sleeping space for everyone and we have a great view of the surrounding woods and mountains from the two house balconies. The house provided for all of our needs and we were able to have some great barbecues. The cool nights made sleeping wonderful. My grandchildren loved all the forest creatures they saw around the property and along the hiking trails that were a very short walking distance from the house. We were close to all the many activities in the area but far enough off the main roads to be very quiet. It is a short drive to the lakeshore and downtown Tahoe City will lots of shops and restaurants. Loved Commons Beach and the many activities going on in town. We spent many days having lunch on the lake at the restaurant just down the street. The neighbors around were very friendly and informative about the activities in the area. Sandy was very helpful and informative during the entire rental process. It was a great vacation and my children and grandchildren look forward to staying at this alpine chalet again. I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

This House Rocks!!

My friends and I wanted a place where after a long day of skiing we could go back and relax in a comfortable, cozy, and clean house and this fit the bill just right! They thought of everything from hair dryers to Tupperware to slippers!! Anything we thought there is no way they would have this they did! Literally they have thought of everything. The house was extremely clean, the beds were comfy and you felt right at home. The owner was extremely helpful in answering any of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! I would definitely recommend this to a group of friends looking to get a way for a week/weekend. Super close to the mountain and even if not everyone skis there is plenty to do at the house and the surrounding areas. It is a true Lake Tahoe house and we loved it!

Beautiful VIews, great amenities, great location

My family and friends stayed here for 1 week in March. We walking into the "the Great room" and was amazed at the views from the deck and the whole room!. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen stocked with all the kitchen gadgets we needed, and the sauna and hot tub were a real plus. We skiing all day and it was bliss to chill in the tub. The skiing was fantastic. There is a homeowners parking lot that we had a pass for when we didn't want to walk to the lifts. We could just park the car and walk right across the street to get on the lift. There is also a warming hut with bbq and beer at lunch, but some of our non skiers enjoyed having coffee there in the morning and just watching the skiers.
It is located in Tahoe City, on the back side of Alpine Meadows, so it was a lot closer to the lake and downtown Tahoe City. The house was super quiet with all the house in this area divided by forest land. We really felt like we were in Lake Tahoe with all the pines, yet close to stores and restaurants.
We plan on coming back this summer to enjoy the Lake. It is 3 miles from the Lake on the West Shore, and close to Chambers Landing which is our favorite beach. It is also close to the bike paths so we're bringing our bikes.
Great home, can't wait to come back to this.

My wife and I have spent several weeks with our family & friends, both in winter & summer, at the "Alpine Chalet". The property, accommodations, location, & amenities make us always look forward to coming back here. Winter proximity to skiing at Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, as well as the cross-country trails, makes this an ideal home base--quiet, serene, & relaxing. Summers are equally great, with the incredible views, hiking & biking trails, and easy access to downtown Tahoe City for the summer concerts. We have had as many as 12 people here and never felt crowded; it really is spacious and inviting. The kitchen and deck make for easy cooking & BBQ grilling and like the open kitchen into the living area. A fabulous location for a vacation. We will be back many times.

Located in one of the most desired neighborhoods on the North Shore, you are walking distance to the back side of Alpine Meadows with privileges. There is a private parking pass that will allow you to park right at the Sherwood lift, a quad high speed chair, and get on! Alpine Meadows allows the homeowners living in this neighborhood and/or guests to start here without at ticket and ski to the front side to purchase it. And, the homeowners have their own snow grader which purposely leaves enough snow along the roads so you can ski home if you want to leave your group. Don't ski? Enjoy the hut at the lift for morning coffee, lunch, or just watching all the activity on the hill. In the summertime, the cat tracks become a playground for mountain biking and hiking. Endless trails with Lake views and wildflowers will keep you entertained.

The snow melts into Ward Creek which is easily accessed from the house, known for its trout fishing. Tennis? yep...2 homeowner tennis courts are here for your use.

Ward Valley is known for its peaceful setting of houses divided by forest land and views that are breathless. Just up from the Lake at Sunnyside Resort, you have total peace at the house, and 3 miles away you're at the Lake with shops, restaurants, nightlife, and an array of activities. Tahoe City is the city to be in on the North Shore. With Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood at your doorstep, you won't be able to ski a run twice. The winter months is a haven for skiing, snow boarding snow snowmobiling. cross county skiing, and with its backdrop the Lake.. you can't beat the experience.

Summer is as good as the winter. The Truckee River opens its doors to the melting snow which offers a nice river for rafting. You can pick up your raft in Tahoe City and cruise down to River Ranch. Its mild enough for the whole family. At River Ranch there is a large outdoor deck with BBQ, outdoor bars, and a great spot to watch the rafters come it. Raft 1 day, bike another. You can access the bike path from the house that will meander along the Truckee River to Truckee. River Ranch is a 1/3 way point.

Tahoe City boasts Commons Beach, but some of the best beaches on the Lake are found on the West Shore. Meeks Bay has a beach that will remind you of being in a cove somewhere in Hawaii but with mountains. Pristine, crystal clear blue water, white sand beach, smell of tall pines, views of mountains. Its a wonderful setting for a picnic. Chambers Landing is known for the long pier/dock with bar and restaurant at the end of it. This is where all the great wooden boats eventually stop at for a refreshment. The beach is beautiful here, and the entertainment remember able. Can't beat the lakefront restaurants. West Shore Cafe has dining on their pier, with large deck, outdoor bars, and incredible food. 3 miles from the house is Sunnyside Resort with outdoor deck, boat rentals, pier and definitely an afternoon libation. You'll find a multitude of lake front venues in downtown Tahoe City.

Lake Tahoe is truly a special place, and this is a special house to enjoy it in.
