This cottage is located directly on Horsepen Creek with a spectacular 175-foot dock for bird watching, fishing, crabbing, shrimping and kayaking. This bungalow is located conveniently on residential Lewis Avenue and Horse pen Creek. Everything you want (beach, dining, shopping and sightseeing) is a short walk, bike ride or drive away! Enjoy the tidal creek location with beautiful sunsets! A nature and wildlife paradise! Your own private dock!
Wake up with a cup of coffee on your private dock and watch for great blue herons, green herons, egrets, wood storks, and osprey. Sometimes, dolphins will entertain you as they swim near the dock looking for fish. Experience the ebb and flow of tides....and launch your kayak at high tide to explore the marsh. The back yard is fully fenced in; great for children and small dogs. The covered outdoor patio with ceiling fan and festive white string lights faces the marsh for incredible sunsets. The Tybee Sea Turtle Project has been working very hard to increase the number of loggerhead sea turtle nests. 2012 was a record-breaking year in large part because of our successful 'Lights Out For Sea Turtles' education we've helped sponsor. All our homes feature a starter supply of Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee which supports the sea turtle projects. This coffee is 100% organic Columbian craft-brewed coffee; again, created just for us!
