Team Retreat - pictures don't do it justice

This house is wonderful! The first thing that everyone said when they came in was that it was way cooler than the pictures and asked how we found it. We used the house for a team retreat with 25 people - it was snug and a few people were on couches, but the owner was super accommodating of this and just had 3 simple rules. There was room for everyone to circle up in the basement for team discussions and there was plenty of room in the kitchen and places for people to eat. There is a huge open lot in back which was perfect for a giant snowball fight. There are a lot of open areas for games and such and the basement also made a great Lego room (nothing like playing with Legos to entertain engineers!). One thing to note is that only AT&T has service here - for us it was nice to disconnect though!

Weekend Quilting Retreat

This was my second stay at the Log House for a quilting retreat. What a perfect setting it was, with lots of room for the twelve of us to sew together. Everyone was more than pleased with the accomodations.
The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The decor is lovely with lots of original
artwork on display. In floor heat is a bonus on wintry days!
I would not miss an opportunity to stay again in the future.
If you are contemplating a stay, I can promise you won't be disappointed.

better then home, nicer then pictures - quality log home

A picture perfect log home big enough to share with family and friends! I'm talking it will fit all of them.. LOL. Beautifully decorated, every comfort of home and more with this accommodation. The hostess is as nice and accommodating as the home itself. The spot is perfect for snowmobiler's - just a short drive up Kris road gets you right on #4 trails. With enough front property (quiet cul de sac) that can fit all your trucks, trailers & snowmobiles - without even using the driveway! We had 11 kids + 9 adults.. and we fit comfortably! The house is stocked with everything but food, it was perfect and hope to make it a annual trip.

Amazing Northern Michigan Log Home

This home is unbelievable and perfect location for our group of friends, including adults and children for our ski weekend. It is very spacious and the furnishings are wonderful with lots of sleeping space in all of the bedrooms, along with the loft. Our group included 25 (10 adults, 15 children). There really isn't anything we could have needed after arriving as this home is furnished with all bedding, bath towlels, kitchen items, etc. The first floor has a wide open room that is perfect socializing and the lower level is great for the kids to gather and watch videos, and just hang out after skiing and tubing. The owner provides excellent service and is very responsive to any needs we have had over our last two years that we have visited. We would highly recommend this home and the location is perfect for skiing at Tree Tops and Boyne Mountain. We also enjoyed taking kids to the pool at Michaywe which is about a two-minute drive from the home. Can't recommend it enough!!!! Enjoy

My family stayed at this property and it exceeded our expectations. It seemed like we stepped into an issue of Architectural Digest. It is immaculately clean and seemed brand new. The kitchen has all high-end appliances and is well-equipped with handsome dishes, glasses, silverware. There are more pots and pans and serving dishes than we could begin to use. The beds are very comfortable, the linens and pillows are beautiful. There was plenty of hot water and towels. The house is easy to find and is located on a quiet cul-de-sac.
I would recommend this house in a heartbeat. The owner is gracious and obviously takes pride in providing an exceptional residence for guests. It was our first stay in a log house and it was magical!
