Brought to you by ParlerParisApartments: Les Miroirs du Marais is on the second floor (European) in an authentic 18th-century “maison” in the heart of one of the best parts of Le Marais. The apartment was completely renovated in the latter half of 2012 by Interior Architect Martine Di Mattéo to create a real sense of French style, with exposed beams and classic furnishings.
This chic one-bedroom apartment is made up of a principle room with two large windows west-facing for lots of light, an eat-in kitchen and living room a bedroom with an ‘en suite’ shower with vanity and a separate powder room (toilet and sink).
The kitchen is well equipped with full-size oven, four-burner stove top, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave , toaster, combination washer/dryer, etc. It is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, and pots and pans, so that even during an extended stay, cooking will be a breeze.
It’s in the kitchen that you may first notice the colorful tile theme also evident everywhere in the apartment. The kitchen backsplash and floor, and several other areas in the apartment use a unique and striking combination of ceramic tiles that give real life to the atmosphere.
The dining table set higher than normal is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen and can seat six people on comfortable stools with backs. The other half of this space is dedicated to the living room with a high quality sofa that converts to a queen bed appointed by a beautiful stone fireplace with an antique mirror over the mantle. On the right of the fireplace is a desk and a bookshelf with ample travel and cook books to choose from. To the left of the fireplace is a cupboard where the flat-screen TV, DVD player and surround sound system are hidden -- plus another bookshelf. The DVD player is rare in that it plays both American and European DVDs.
Moving through glass and iron atelier doors, you enter the quiet, courette-facing bedroom. Here you find the custom-built queen-size canopy bed opposite one of the eponymous mirrors – enormous and filling the entire wall making the bedroom feel twice as large. In one corner is the door to the powder room with sink and toilet, which has another door on the living room side so guests need not enter the bedroom to access it.
In the other corner of the bedroom is a shower room with a large Italian-style stone-tiled shower with large shower head, custom-made metal/glass shower atelier door and a sink with a stone countertop.
As with all of our apartments, Les Miroirs du Marais comes equipped with free WiFi and cable television with a large selection of English-language channels, and free long distance calling to over 100 countries.
There is ample storage space throughout and the apartment is not only total ‘eye candy,’ but is completely comfortable and is missing nothing! You will love your stay in Les Miroirs du Marais.
