The location is ideal! Our best kept secret is the excellent wakeboarding and tubing. The cove has a wide long swing, leading to a 1/2 mile stretch to the main lake. The water is like glass! From the most struggling beginner to accomplished wake jumper, you can ski until you ache. You share it with only a few evening locals and the occasional week-ender. You can also fish right off our private dock or paddle out to shady hollows. (There is a steep down hill to get to the water....you may sign a liability waiver and use a 4 wheeler)
Shopping your thing? All the wonders of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville (along with the shows, and Dollywood, and Flea Markets!)are a short 20 minute drive. You can visit the fall craft shows, and enjoy the excitement, then be sitting on your deck with a cup of coffee, enjoying the wonderful fall colors for breakfast and dinner.
If boating isn't your thing, within 30 minutes, you can be white water rafting, or hiking many of the Great Smokey Mountain trails.....again, some for your beginners, to the more serious hikers in the crowd (my sister and I did a FABULOUS 17 mile hike one day!)
Want a slower pace, a real vacation? There are 10 quiet towns within an hour's drive, each boasting its local bit of history, and antique stores. Scenic drives in the country for fall or spring color will take you to out-of-the way corners. Even Knoxville is only 45 minutes away for sports fans and those wanting a little different day trip.
For those who want the details on the house..... It is set-up to accommodate up to 10 people, with living areas to gather together, or slip away for some down time. Even the decks have separate sitting/eating areas!
1st floor is a game room with full bath, and sofa bed - perfect for kids or teens.
2nd floor is the main living area with incredible wrap-around decks and windows. Open concept living room, dining room, kitchen, with vaulted ceilings and great views. Couch is a pull-out for extra sleeping.
Master suite is on this floor - with 4 foot shower, and jetted tub - private door onto decks for morning coffee.
Upstairs has a small sitting area, 2 bedrooms and a full bath.
All bedrooms have TV's and VCR/DVD players. DISH network is available in main living room and game room.
Outdoor grill and plenty of tables and seating for visiting.
Fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as a water softener. All linens (bed, bath, kitchen) are included.
