Large 5-bedroom villa 150 metres from unspoilt beaches

We had a brilliant family holiday in this villa. There were 10 of us for the first week (6 adults and 4 children) and 6 of us for the second week (4 adults and 2 children). We never once felt cramped or on top of one another as there was so much room. Everything was catered for and there was nothing that we needed that the villa did not have. The bedrooms are extremely spacious and the beds very comfy. The children loved the swimming pool and the putting green(along with the Dads/Grandad). The beach was near and was very clean and we found a couple of really lovely restaurants to eat.
We would love to return in the furture and would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to family and friends.
The owner provided really good service and was fantastic at answering the (many) questions that we had. The people that look after the villa out there are next door neighbours and were brilliant at helping us with anything that we needed or any questions that we had.
It provided everything that we wanted for a brilliant family holiday.

El Descanso is a fabulous well equipped spacious villa in a stunning part of Spain , very quiet perfect for relaxing and exploring this lovely area. 5 min walk to the sea and pebble beach but 10 mins further on is a lovely sandy beach with ice cream hut, shop and a handful of restaurants.We stayed with my parents and our 2 children aged 4 and 16 mths and the villa accommodated us perfectly . The pool was fantastic and the villa had everything we could need . Would recommend car hire as supermarkets and better selection of restaurants are about 10 -15 mins drive. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend El Descanso to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings .

We stayed here in August 2010 and had a wonderful time. There were 11 of us in total including 5 children aged between 5 and 12. The Villa is very spacious with excellent outside space and a very good sized and clean pool. The weather was very hot while we were there and so we spent a lot of time in the pool although there were plenty of shaded area's to escape the sun and all the rooms upstairs were air conditioned. We felt very well looked after and the owner was easily contactable and gave us plenty of advise on the local area.
You definitely need a car to get around as the local shop is a good 15 minutes walk away and sold mainly spanish groceries. A trip to one of the many large supermarkets is a must and you need a car to do this. You also need a car to enjoy the local coastline if you like exploring.
There is a handy jetty and a five minute walk to the sea although you need to walk along the sea front for about ten minutes to get to the sand. The beach is very clean and the sea is calm and shallow so perfect for families.
We were slightly dissapointed that there wasn't much entertainment in the evenings. There were a few family run restaurants but it wasn't very lively and we saw little or no English people while we were there. The evening highlight for the children was a visit to the ice-cream hut and a run along the well paved and safe path along the sea front.There were the most amazing sunsets every evening the beach stayed busy all evening with many Spanish families picnicing on the beach.
I would recommend the Villa for families who like to get away from it all, enjoy quiet holiday's and don't mind self catering. The Villa itself was a home from home with everything you might need from beach towels and sun cream to an array of books to enjoy.
