I was in charge of locating and renting the property for a family gathering.
This townhouse was perfect for a mini family gathering of 5 adults, and we all agree that this place was even better than it appeared in the description and the pictures in the listing. Pictures do not do justice to the spaciousness of the rooms and the very attractive furnishings. We did several meals "at home" and found everything we needed for preparation and serving dinner & breakfast.
The unit was exceptionally clean and well maintained--in fact, practically like new. Laura, the owner, was most welcoming and helpful. She was not only available by cell phone but lives nearby. Before arriving, I had several phone conversations with her, and she always returned my calls promptly and patiently answered my many questions. You could not ask for more and better service & help from a temporary landlady/owner! In short, you could not go wrong renting this property.
We liked the quiet location in the marina a very short distance from the historic part of the city.
I would highly recommend this townhouse to a friend or relative and would happily rent it again if I am ever back in Charleston. (The stairs might be an issue for toddlers.)
We all loved the horse-drawn carriage ride around the historic district and thought it the best of its kind for a tourtist orientation. We were unanimous about dinner at SNOBS for fine dining and the Crab House (James Island) for casual, waterfront dining--both excellent for all the wonderful southern cuisine for which Charleston is famous.

Owner's Response: Dear Naomi,
We are happy to know that you had a great family reunion and use our townhouse for that purpose.
You were our First Guests and we hope to see you again in your next visit to Charleston.
Laura
