Private 3 Bedroom Family Home Close to the University of Victoria

University Heights Vacation Home is conveniently located near the University of Victoria, with quick, easy, access to downtown. For the outdoorsy types, great golf courses, fabulous beaches and hiking opportunities are close by.

This family oriented property, is close to several shopping areas, where you can grab a coffee, shop, see a movie, and pick up anything you need-- at the grocery store, liquor store, bank, or pharmacy. Several restaurants and take out venues make dinner selection easy.

Walk over to Gordon Head Recreation Center for free outdoor tennis, or use the swimming pool and fitness facility for a modest fee.

A wonderful Children's Playground and basketball court is less than 5 minutes' walk. University Heights Cinema, also within walking distance, plays the latest movies.

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open-concept living room, full kitchen with all the modern conveniences. Plenty of free parking, and storage available for golf clubs and sporting equipment.

Our vacation home is uniquely situated in the safe and vibrant University District, while having quick and easy access to downtown Victoria.

Walk over to our neighbourhood recreation center for a swim, fitness class, or use of their tennis and gym facilities. A children's play park and basketball court are less than a 5 minutes' walk away.

Several grocery stores, coffee shops (Starbucks & Tim Horton's), restaurants (Original Joe's & Boston Pizza), and a movie theater are within a 5-10 minute walk, via Tuscany Village and University Heights Shopping Centers.

For the outdoorsy types, a brief, but vigorous hike, up Mount Douglas Provincial Park will provide you with stunning views of the city and mountains. The lower side of the park offers a wild west coast beach on which to beachcomb and watch wildlife.

A few minutes drive will take you to world famous Cadboro Bay Beach and Village, where you can windsurf, kayak, paddleboard, beachcomb and shop at some local specialty stores. Cordova Bay Village, also a short drive, offers golfing, mini-golfing, and some unique shopping opportunities.

Very Nice Vacation Home.

My wife and I along with our 2 young boys 3 yrs & 1 yrs and our nanny stayed at this vacation rental for 2 weeks in March 2013. The suite is nice and clean and well decorated. The location in the University Heights area seems to be within 15 - 20 mins of everything in the Victoria area. We were very comfortable here and the owners Jayne and Michael were very hospitable. The only complaint (which is very minor) that I would have is I would have liked to been able to watch the Canucks on tv. The tv satellite package didn't include sports channels. This, I know is very minor, thus we were very happy to have stayed here and would recommend to friends.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers

We understand that Canucks (and other hockey) fans would certainly like to catch their games, and will look into upgrading our cable package.

It was wonderful to travel to Victoria, and have all the amenities of home. Traveling with kids can be very tricky, but having the space, ease, and comfort of a house was great. The place was super clean, with nice modern updates. Thanks a lot! we will defina\itely be calling again on our next trip to Victoria

Great Stay

My Brother, Dad and myself take trips now and then to different locations to bond. We found this property within budget, comfort and easy to get around. The owner was extreamly helpful and had snacks waiting for us on arrival. The property is on a dead end street so no traffic buzzing around at night. The property was clean with lots of room to move around. The full kitchen made it easy to make meals and fully stocked with kitchen items.

The house is within walking distance to a small mall with grocery stores and eating establishments. Boston Pizza has just about everything. I would recommend Thrifty grocery store for more choices and quality. Downtown Victoria is about 20 min drive time. One main road in and take Johnson headed north going back home and no problem.

All and all a very relaxing stay with plenty of room and very helpful owners that live close by so if you have any questions or they need to make adjustments they are only 5 min. away.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Comfy and inviting house, gracious hosts.

I was a little wary making my way to the place but was pleased to see it is definitely the nicest place on the street. Once we were inside, any doubts about decision were quickly quelled. The place was spotless, there were games and movies for the kids and the kitchen was not only stocked with all the basics (including milk, coffee and tea) but there was a welcome package with fresh bread and other goodies. We had to do a load of laundry (the joy of travelling with small kids) and were really pleased to see there was laundry soap with the washer and dryer. The hosts really have thought of everything. It is a touch far from downtown, but getting around was really easy and there are lots of amenities close by. We took public transit a couple of times and it was easy enough - there are clear instructions in the info package on how to get where you need to go so we appreciated that. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of room and the kids appreciated the deep bath tub. Overall, it really was an excellent place to stay. I will certainly be back.
