University Heights Vacation Home is conveniently located near the University of Victoria, with quick, easy, access to downtown. For the outdoorsy types, great golf courses, fabulous beaches and hiking opportunities are close by.
This family oriented property is private at the end of a cul-de-sac, with a fully fenced back yard. It is close to several shopping areas, where you can grab a coffee, shop, see a movie, and pick up anything you need-- at the grocery store, liquor store, bank, or pharmacy. Several restaurants and take out venues make dinner selection easy.
Walk over to Gordon Head Recreation Center for free outdoor tennis, or use the swimming pool and fitness facility for a modest fee.
A wonderful Children's Playground and basketball court is less than 5 minutes' walk. University Heights Cinema, also within walking distance, plays the latest movies.
3 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms, open-concept living room, full kitchen with all the modern conveniences (including dishwasher and washer/dryer). Upper suite. Plenty of free parking.
Two TVs, DVD player, free cable and Wireless Internet, are available for in-house entertainment, along with a selection of games and toys for families.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay is included: not only the basics like heat, electricity, cable, and WIFI, but also all your linens, towels, beach towels, kitchen equipment, and basic staples (tea, sugar, flour, spices, washing up liquid, laundry detergent etc.).

This home is perfectly situated near the University of Victoria, with quick access downtown and all the major tourist sights. It is conveniently located within walking distance to all level of amenities (shopping, coffee, gyms, Cinema etc.)--and has everything a vacationing family would need.
Our home is in a quiet family neighbourhood, while being close to all the best Victoria tourist sites.
We enjoyed our stay in Victoria, the scenery was amazing, the weather was good, and your vacation home was lovely, would absolutely recommend your home to anyone we know coming out to Victoria. Time went way too fast.

Jayne and Michael were very friendly and helpful. The duplex was clean, well-appointed and nicely updated. It has a wide variety of cooking utensils, spices and condiments available for use. I It’s in a quiet neighborhood that is a little ways from main attractions and things to do, but not so much that you feel remote.
Convenient for local supermarkets, liquor stores, gas stations, and restaurants. The central location, makes it very easy to get anywhere on the island in just a few minutes.
No cleaning fee is a real bonus. Just clean up after yourself.

We were greated by Jayne, the homeowner, and discussed the agreement, location and she gave us a tour to view every room in the home. The welcome basket of goodies left on the table for our family was greatly appreciated! Such a sweet touch!
Home is in a great quite location, is roomy, very comfortable and clean. It was perfect for our family of 5. Restaurants, grocery store and Tim Hotons are all at your finger tips. We would definitely stay here again!

The owner is friendly and helpful. The duplex was clean, well appointed and nicely updated. It has a wide variety of cooking utensils, spices and condiments available for use which is nice. It had a nice selection of brochures and information on things to do in the area. It is is a quiet neighborhood that is a little ways from main attractions and things to do, but not so much that you feel remote.
We happened to stay during a warm spell and there were no fans to cool the house or circulate the air which made it a little uncomfortable. Timing the check in can be a little tricky. If you are after 7:00pm you may incur an additional fee that continues to increase until 10:00pm at which point you may not be able to check in until the following day. I don't remember being disclosed in the rental info. There is a bit of a cleaning list upon check out, nothing too extraordinary by any means. I was happy to accommodate this since this house has no cleaning fee attached on top of the daily rental amount which is a rare treat on a vacation rental.
Finally, my major complaint was the bedding. One of the queen beds was very hard and uncomfortable. The beds only had sheets and comforters, and in one room there wasn't even a top sheet on the bed it only had comforter. Because it was warm, having a light blanket would have been nice for when it finally cooled down. It was a little chilly for just a sheet and too hot with a big heavy comforter.
This house has been our home for 10 months and we have had a wonderful stay. It is located in a nice neighbourhood that is just minutes away from important places such as the University of Victoria, schools, Gordon Head recreation centre, commercial facilities, and groceries stores. Being close by has made of our stay so pleasant since everything is on hand. Our children loved walking to school.
The house is charmingly furnished, so beautiful and very comfortable; it creates a welcoming ambience. This home has everything we needed. Michael and Jane have been very responsive to our needs. We really appreciated their kindness.

Our vacation home is uniquely situated in the safe and vibrant University District, while having quick and easy access to downtown Victoria.
Walk over to our neighbourhood recreation center for a swim, fitness class, or use of their tennis and gym facilities. A children's play park and basketball court are less than a 5 minutes' walk away.
Several grocery stores, coffee shops (Starbucks & Tim Horton's), restaurants (Original Joe's & Boston Pizza), and a movie theater are within a 5-10 minute walk, via Tuscany Village and University Heights Shopping Centers.
For the outdoorsy types, a brief, but vigorous hike, up Mount Douglas Provincial Park will provide you with stunning views of the city and mountains. The lower side of the park offers a wild west coast beach on which to beachcomb and watch wildlife.
A few minutes drive will take you to world famous Cadboro Bay Beach and Village, where you can windsurf, kayak, paddleboard, beachcomb and shop at some local specialty stores. Cordova Bay Village, also a short drive, offers golfing, mini-golfing, and some unique shopping opportunities.
University Heights Vacation Home is within 4.5 miles of 6 Golf Courses (Victoria, Cordova Bay, Uplands, Henderson Park, Mt. Douglas, and Cedar Hill Golf Courses).
A quick and easy drive will put you in the heart of the Downtown Victoria--The Royal BC Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, China Town, Whale Watching Excursions, and Royal McPherson Theater offer cultural diversity. World-class shops, bars and restaurants round off the experience.
