This beautifully furnished 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath is in the eclectic Clarksville neighborhood of Austin. It is one block off West 6th Street within walking distance to most SXSW venues and AC~L~. You have the best of both worlds here, a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything Austin has to offer. Z-Tejas, Winflo, Clark's Oyster Bar, Counter Cafe, 24 Diner, and Jeffries (perhaps Austin's best), are some of the many restaurants within walking distance. Cafe Medici and Sweetish Hill Bakery are great choices for your morning coffee and pastry. The landmark Whole Foods Market is 1/2 mile from the front door, and Nau's Drugstore is even closer (with a soda fountain). For runners and cyclists, Shoal Creek hike and bike trail is a few blocks Northeast, and Zilker Park is just a few blocks South.

The house features include modern eat-in kitchen (with flat-screen TV), living room, and den with 55 inch flat screen and American Leather sectional downstairs; and two master suites (both with king beds) upstairs, both with flat-screen TVs. A queen size Aerobed and a large sectional sofa offer additional sleeping options. Enjoy eating and entertaining outside on our private patio.

Bob and Lisa are from Norfolk, Virginia. We own businesses in both Virginia and in Austin, and decided to move to Austin to become more active in our business here.

Clarksville is the best place to live (and vacation) in Austin. It is so centrally located. We had been looking at houses in this neighborhood for quite some time, and finally we lucked out when this house came on the market.

A taste of urban living in a quiet, old neighborhood. Great evening walks to many fantastic restaurants, including Z-Tejas, Cafe Josie, Sweetish Hill Bakery, Cosmic Cafe and too many others to list!! Zilker Park and the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail are only a few blocks away. Shops and art galleries abound. The land mark Whole Foods is 1/2 mile away.

We came to Austin to attend SXSW, like so many in March, and were suprised to find this gorgeous home so close to everything.
The house itself was beautifully looked after, well appointed, and very comortable (while being super stylish at the same time!).
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in Austin, and can highly recommend its owners - they are truly helpful and invested in making your stay enjoyable and easy-going as possible. This is a top-notch listing!

Great spot to enjoy SXSW!

We had 3 people staying here for SXSW and it was a fantastic experience! The property was big, bright, modern, super clean and well decorated with a cool Austin vibe. It's close enough to walk downtown for the events or you could catch a cab going down 5th street. We took a cab home at night and it was always less than 10 dollars. The place has a really nice back porch where we hung out and listened to music from our iPods on the wireless speaker device that comes with the house. Bob was super friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. We used the two bikes to ride to the local coffee shop in the morning. If we hadn't been going to SXSW all day each day I would have used the bikes more to explore around.
