IF YOU ARE RENTING A VEHICLE, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO rent locally, and recommend to rent an AWD vehicle or 4x4 - it will give you far more flexibility for your island adventures; scaling the Mauna Kea summit, visiting Waipio Valley and some of the wilder beaches and beauty spots.
THE HOME IS SET ON A VERY BEAUTIFUL, TRANQUIL, BUMPY lava-rock trail - 0.5 of a mile to paved road in the ocean direction and 0.7 of a mile to paved road in the volcano direction, so your 4x4 will make the drive home easier, too.

A FLAT SCREEN TV, BLU-RAY DVD PLAYER ARE AVAILABLE and, usually, access to wireless internet and Netflix, although the last two are dependent on the local internet service being available and it is not always reliable. There is good 4G service in the area for your smart phone.
