Welcome to our waterfront vacation retreat on Lake Charlevoix the Magnificent! Our Vacation property is a very nice, well appointed, spacious, clean and very accomodating townhome on the Water that's ideal for a couple, a couple of couples : ), or a family! The layout is very accomodating & we have everything you need for a great vacation at an affordable price - So Sit Back, Relax and Enjoy your stay!
Our Spacious 1800 sq. foot 3 story walk-out has 2 plus bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a laundry room, great deck and patio, a fully equipped kitchen and includes a private boat slip for your PWC, and WIFI.
DETAILED ACCOMODATION DESCRIPTION:
MAIN LEVEL- Great views from the kitchen & family room and large balcony overlooking the lake. Living room has a flat panel TV, CD/Stereo/Ipod Wall System, and table full of games for the family. There's also a half bath.
UPSTAIRS - You will find a large master bedroom w/ a king bed and large walk in closet. We also have a roll away bed for any little one's that want to stay close by. The 2nd bedroom sleeps 5 and has a twin over double bed bunk and a twin over twin bunk. There's a large walk in closet for your luggage and clothes.
LOWER LEVEL WALK-OUT: The Lower level walk-out has a large family gathering room (TV with DVD/fireplace/plenty of seating), a laundry room, and full bath. At night it can easily convert to a bedroom suite. There's a queen sofa sleeper and two (2) twin hideaway Ottaman beds. The layout of our vacation property along with the extra sleepers in the lower level allows for space, flexibility and privacy in the sleeping arrangements. The set up still leaves the main floor living room and kitchen open for the early risers from either floor.
Please understand that although we have enough beds and sleepers to accommodate 12 guests, our desired maximum occupancy is 8 but will consider up to 10 with written permission only. The extra sleepers are there for the purpose of creating options & flexibility in the sleeping arrangements, and not to have more guests in our vacation home than what we would feel comfortable allowing.
ABOUT LAKE CHARLEVOIX: I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS AREA OF NORTHERN MICHIGAN but LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Lake charlevoix is the 3rd largest inland lake in Michigan. There's 56 miles of amazing shoreline with access to Lake Michigan. Lake Charlevoix is surrounded by beautiful resort towns with great shops and restaurants. There's always something FUN going on. Lake Charlevoix was recently voted the 2nd best lake in the USA, second to Lake Tahoe. Many people still feel it should have been # 1!
Our property is located in South Arm Township between the City of East Jordan and downtown Charlevoix on the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix. The South arm is generally much calmer than the North Arm and is considered a more suitable side of the lake for water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, tubing, and kayaking. We have an awesome fishing location. Our vacation property also comes with a private boat slip for your watercraft AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. And, if you don’t have your own boat or jet skis, all you have to do is go a few doors down to the marina & can rent one and not have to worry about having a place to dock! We are also in close proximity to the Jordan Valley River for AMAZING kayaking, which we HIGHLY recommend.
We are a short scenic drive to Castle Farms, the ironton ferry, 12 miles from downtown charlevoix, 12 miles from Boyne city, 12 miles to Boyne mountain and Avalanche Bay. You can easily get to all the wonderful small towns and attractions along this 56 miles of Shorline by car or by boat/PWC.
IN THE WINTER: we are a short scenic drive (12 miles) to Boyne mountain ski resort and avalanche bay waterpark. This location is also great for snow mobilers as the trail is just a street away! Awesome spot for ice fishing as there's a great drop off right out back.
Fall color tour: it’s also close to the infamous “breezeway” for awesome drives with breath taking views, especially during the fall color tour season.
