Issaquah Cabin Rental Photos and Description
600 sq ft Chalet Style Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3)
Whispering Waters is a cozy Washington state vacation rental cabin only feet from a scenic mountain river surrounded by the beautiful Cascade Mountains, 60 miles NE of Seattle, Washington. The cabin's romantic ambience makes it ideal for celebrating special occasions, with a river view from the loft bed, gas riverrock fireplace (seasonal), and hot tub on the banks of Skykomish River. The loft's french doors lead to a romantic balcony that overlooks large moss-covered trees and has a river view. The 600sq ft vacation rental cabin is cozy and perfect for two celebrating an anniversary, honeymoon, or looking for a romantic getaway.
A small kitchen area is set up for simple meal prep, and the dining table seats up to 4 with river view. The queen bed in the downstairs bedroom provides room for older children (surroundings not suitable for small children due to the abrupt river bank).
Whispering Waters cabin is in a semi-private beautiful mountainous area 90 minutes from Seattle, WA close to three wilderness areas (Wild Sky, Alpine Lakes and Henry Jackson) and Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest that offer year round outdoor recreational opportunities. Whispering Waters cabin is 30 minutes from Stevens Pass ski area on the west side of the pass (don't have to drive over a pass if coming from the Seattle area). The roads to the cabin are usually snow free for those who don't like to drive in snow.
The Skykomish River is a popular class II-IV whitewater rafting/kyaking river, and nearby Stevens Pass (23 miles east) is a popular day-use ski area. The area is not 'touristy', yet attracts thousands of visitors and vacationers due to the rugged beauty of Washington's Cascade Mountains and the outdoor recreation. There are dozens of nearby hiking trails with something for everyone - easy family walks through the woods, waterfalls, alpine meadows, historical Wellington train disaster site with old train tunnels, trout-stocked alpine lakes with crystal clear water, historic lookout towers, old growth forests, and rock climbing. There is a user-maintained trail within walking distance of the cabin. The numerous forest service roads are great for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing when the snow level is low (1000ft). The south fork Skykomish with it's sparkling clear water is a Washington Scenic River with seasonal fishing for trout and white fish. Even though it is a whitewater river, there is a calm area in front of the cabin for cold water swimming on a hot summer day. The rapids just past the cabin are mild enough in late summer for family tubing. There is a small rocky/sandy beach below the cabin and is a good place to enjoy the cool river breeze on the occasional hot day (western Washington's weather is usually mild throughout the summer).
The cabin is a great place for a relaxing vacation. The rocking chairs on the cabin's front porch provide 'front row seats' to watch the Skykomish River go by, bald eagles soaring by the cabin in the winter, and salmon migrating in the fall. The 50-jet hot tub located right next to the cabin a few feet from the river bank is terrific for soaking your cares away while the Skykomish river 'whispers' by. The hot tub is covered with a glass roof so it can be used during all weather conditions and is year-round. On clear nights the cabin's front yard is a great place to star gaze while listening to the river, especially after soaking in the hot tub and/or sitting next to a camp fire.
The cabin is super cozy in winter with the riverrock gas fireplace. Satellite TV provides 250 channels including comercial free movie channels, music, sports and family channels. Smart TV provides Netflix and Pandora. There are also board games, puzzles, paperbacks, and Sky Valley area information.
There is a queen bed in the loft and in the downstairs bedroom. Quality sheets & towels provided.
The kitchen has a gas range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, bean grinder, blender and hand mixer. Dishes, pots & pans, kitchen towels, flatware & cooking utensils provided. Charcoal grill on the front porch.
We are able to keep midweek rates lower than the area's price range while providing quality amenities as the cabin is owner managed and maintained. Unlike many rental cabins, there is no cleaning charge if the cabin is left clean.
Note to those with allergies: dogs were allowed at this cabin until October 1, 2014.

Guestbook comments from the owner
This is an amazing place well exceeded my expectations. We planned this getaway two months ago choosing from a list of cabins and really lucky that your place is what we found. Will definitely be coming back and reocmmending your cabins to our frineds. I have never been/felt so relaxed until the day we arrived here and know that this is the "Place". So serene when you're outside, looking at the views and listening to the relaxing sound of the river, and when we're in the hot tub after a long day snowboarding. "WOW" I just can't stop saying this is the place for me. MY PERFECT GET-AWAY.
I purchased Whispering Waters cabin as a side career while working as a nurse. I enjoyed it so much that I made cabin rental my full time career in 2000 and still love it. I love the outdoors and try to hike, raft, snow shoe, and cross country ski whenever I can.
I love this area as it is so beautiful and peaceful. Listening to and watching the Skykomish River 'whisper' by brings me daily enjoyment and I want to share it with others. After twenty two years of living in the Cascade Mountains I am still in awe of the beauty of the river, mountains and trees.
The cabin is maintained by the owner so it is cleaner and has more personal touches than cabins maintained by property management companies, and at lower rates. Comfortable all weather wicker rocking chairs on the front porch; hot tub with glass cover that provides protection from the rain while maintaining the outdoors experience. Authentic cabin atmosphere.
