FISHERMEN'S HOLLOW ON THE BOGACHIEL RIVER

Forks Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Private cabin located on the Bogachiel River only 5 miles south of Forks.

Guests at Fishermen's Hollow have been enjoying this destination for the past four years. As the start of year three begins, we are excited to share our cabin with you.

This riverfront property has been organized to allow for privacy. There are two cabins (seven feet apart) which are connected by covered decks and breezeway. The main cabin contains a full kitchen, 3/4 bath, great room concept with leather furniture and a large table for meals.

The bunkhouse has two bedrooms. The first bedroom is riverfront with a log queen size bed. The second bedroom is larger with two queen size beds and room to stow your gear.

Sit on the covered decks (winter or summer) and watch the river go by or build a campfire. Open the windows at night to listen to the river.

Towels and bedding is provided. The cabin is professionally cleaned after your stay. There is not an additional cleaning fee.

Suitability:
  • pets not allowed
  • non smoking only
  • children welcome
  • wheelchair inaccessible

After searching for many years, my husband and I found this riverfront property. You would not recognize it today. It was one small building with a small deck. The building was sloping to one side. With the help of Bob from Forks, we steadied the original building and added the bunkhouse. Bob taught us a 'few additional skills' which allowed us to complete all of the finish work. The large window facing the river is only remaining original fixture in the cabin.

Personally, this cabin is an important place for us and our family. Our sons, daughter-in-laws, young grandchildren, and many friends have had memorable moments at Fishermen's Hollow.

Brenda purchased this cabin in 2004

This property provides privacy and easy access to the town of Forks. The decorations have been collected for many years providing a cozy environment.

The logic behind separating the bunkhouse from the main cabin was to allow the early risers the option to go to bed while the night-owls stay up! It works out well.

The covered decks (in front and back) have hooks to hang wet gear or bring fishing poles, etc., under cover.

During the summer months, the river warms up and is fun to tube. If you start from the cabin, you can get out at the Bogachiel River bridge and walk back to the cabin on Hwy 101.

The cabin is 7 miles from the Hoh Rain Forest turnoff on Hwy 101. By driving 30 minutes south or north, you can be at various Pacific Ocean beaches.

We LOVED our stay at this beautiful, cozy cabin. We fished and played in the river all day and enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. We will definitely be back; maybe in the winter. Highly recommend.

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. It was a great location to see all the beaches, the Hoh Rainforest, Cape Flattery and even enjoy the river for an afternoon. We never made it to Hurricane Ridge but there's always next time. The cabin was clean and spacious. I love the idea of the bedrooms being separate from the main house. We had a campfire and made smores and hot dogs of course. My husband and son enjoyed doing Tae Kwon Do on the back lawn. The river in the background made for some great pictures. I would definitely stay here if I were in town again. We didn't find any great restaurants in town so we cooked at the cabin mostly.

Great trip

  • 5 of 5
We had a great stay at this cool riverside cabin. Very clean and well appointed with nice amenities. Great location right on the Bogachiel River. Nice fire pit on lawn in front of the River with free wood. A great place to stay for Steelhead fisherman or OP exploring. Bathroom with showers is very clean and seemed to be newly renovated. Lots of kitchen implements and supplies. Bedroom area is separated by a covered breezeway from the Kitchen and Living room, so if some want to stay up they don't affect those who go to sleep earlier. TV had cable (although we did not use it. Nice covered deck with new gas BBQ. I thought it was a good bargain and will be back again this year.

Wonderful secluded cabin in Forks!

  • 5 of 5
I love the Olympic Peninsula and try to schedule a vacation in the Forks area every year. My goal is always to hike as many trails and spend as much time outdoors as possible... I stayed at the Fisherman's Hollow cabin June 2012 with another hiking friend and we found the cabin to be a destination in itself! It is a beautifully decorated and comfortable cabin that gives a wonderful feeling of seclusion among the trees. For me, one of the highlights of every day was to sit out on the beautiful deck every morning with my cup of coffee and gaze at the Bogachiel river ... on occasion I would see a bald eagle or an elk crossing the river. The cabin had all the amenities we could have wanted and the beds were very comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you visit the Olympic Peninsula... I plan to return!

Vacation getaway

  • 5 of 5
What a great time we had at Fishermen's Hollow...... the cabin is decorated wonderfully and there was everything you needed . Our daughter was married on the outskirts of Forks and this wonderful cabin provided us with a place to unwind and sit by the river...... It was so homey and just a great place to unwind. My daughter and her attendants were able to relax and dress for the wedding......and afterwards we spent a couple of extra days just watching the world go by. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We would love to come back perhaps during the winter or late Fall.
