Suddenly, it's 1957! Welcome to Palm Springs Modern Classic. This vacation home, in the Twin Palms neighborhood, has carefully recreated the look and feel of its original William Krisel design. Originally completed in 1957 by the Alexander Construction Company, this home is known as the 'Gable.'
Completely renovated in 2012, this home maintains mid century character with 21st century amenities.
As you enter the home, it is bright and welcoming.
Walls of glass provide a magnificent open view of the mountains, and offer the indoor/outdoor living environment Palm Springs is known for.
The open concept kitchen, living, and dining areas with terrazo tile overlook the fabulous pool deck, which faces west, and is back-dropped by the 10,000 foot San Jacinto mountain range seeming so close you can touch it. The great room includes massive stone fireplace, difficult to recreate today. The well stocked and modern amenity kitchen is a chef's dream.
There is plenty of dining space with a large dining table with seating for 9 indoors, and a 6-top for outdoor dining. If cooking is not in the cards, take advantage of the variety of nearby popular restaurants, some within walking distance and others less than 2 miles by car to downtown Palm Springs.
This Palm Springs mid century vacation home features 3 comfortable bedrooms all boasting Tempurpedic memory foam mattresses and flat screen HDTVs and Blu-Ray/DVD. The master features a California king bed, 46' TV, and a beautifully renovated ensuite bath. Bedroom two also features a Californian King bed, 40' TV, and shares a hall bath with bedroom 3, which has 2 twin beds and a 40' TV.
