About Ann McCarthy
We arrived in Telluride in 1976. We thought we had found the best ski resort in the world, so we bought the cheapest house for sale in Town. It just happened to be on the street the gondola was later built on. We both grew up on the East Coast so found everything about Telluride magical - still do. We were in the design/build business, so, after 15 years we did a huge remodel - adding a large basement, addition & guest house.

Why Ann McCarthy chose Telluride
We moved here for the skiing, but found the summers awesome too. We have watched Telluride mature into the world class destination that it has become. We are surprised by how long we have been here - time has flown by. Our two Sons grew up here, and our Grandchildren are now learning to ski here.
What makes this house unique
We have always loved the location of our home. You can walk or bicycle everywhere, and a car is seldom necessary. Every time I look out any window the views still take my breath away. The 'historical' part of our home was originally built in 1871 - one of the first houses in Town.
