High Tide Farmhouse master bedroom has luxurious king bed and bedroom #2 has a pillow-top queen-size bed. The living room has a Vermont Casting gas fireplace and double sofa bed couch.
My wife and I grew up in Berkeley/Oakland and live with our 4 children in Point Reyes Station. I am a government/public relations professional with offices in Sacramento and my wife teaches kindergarten across the Bay in Inverness.
We each fell in love with Tomales Bay (and specifically the shoreline of 'Bleu Baie,' immediately to the west of this property) when our parents bought cabins here in the 1960s and early 1970s. (Later, we fell in love with each other -- yes, she was the girl next door.)
High Tide Farmhouse may be combined with High Tide Cottage (depending on availability) and guests may gain access to Tomales Bay's pristine shoreline for birdwatching or kayak put-in.
This is a nature lover's, bird watcher's paradise. High Tide Farmhouse sits on 23 acres overlooking Tomales Bay and the Point Reyes National Seashore. Deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, hawks and other raptors can all be seen from inside or from outside decks that surround three sides of the Farmhouse. Numerous shorebirds will be seen a short walk down our private path to the Tomales Bay shoreline.
Point Reyes National Seashore (with its 150 miles of trails, elk preserve, interpretive centers, numerous beaches and amazing lighthouse) is a 20-minute kayak paddle across Tomales Bay (or a 15-minute drive).
If you like oysters, this is the place. Hog Island Oysters is a five minute drive, as is Tony's Seafood and Nick's Cove -- both of which serve Hog Island and other oysters harvested within view of the Farmhouse.
