Photos and Description of the Siena vacation rental

The apartment is set on the ground floor in one of the old 'Palazzi' of Siena. In 2003 the flat has been completly restructured, preserving all its original architectural features. The furniture has been carefully chosen and the house is furnished with antique pieces. When you open the door you look directly onto the roman church San Domenico. The position is ideal for visiting Siena. In only a few minutes you reach all the famous buildings and places of Siena, as the Duomo and Piazza del Campo.

In the next surroundings are all the famous places of Siena. Out of the centre the city is surrounded by the famous wine areas as the 'Chianti area' and the 'Brunello area' (Montalcino). Also beautiful places to visit are the 'Crete Senese', the 'Orcia Valley' with Pienza and Montepulciano. Here you can enjoy a glass of 'Rosso di Montepulciano' with the 'Pecorino di Pienza' (cheese of Pienza).

Tips to other towns: The apartment is the ideal starting point to visit intensely the places of interest of Siena. Not only the 'Duomo' just next to the apartment and the famous 'Piazza del Campo' where twice every year takes place the horse race 'Il Palio' , even the several beautiful churches and the music academy ''Accademia della Chigiana' that from November to August offers a rich program of concerts are worth this visit. Beside this, Siena is also well connected by bus with the other famous towns to visit as Florence and Arezzo. You can also reach Rome by bus that brings you in the morning and turn back in the evening.

Language: The apartment is a good place where to stay during your language course in Siena. All privat language schools (Dante Alighieri, Scuola Leonardo da Vinci a.o.) and the 'Università per Stranieri' dist only some hundred meters, within max 5-10 minutes by walking

The apt was easy to find on city map and we were met by a rep who showed us around.The apt was very spacious and very central HOWEVER it was on the tourist walking route and the special view outside the door made every group stop and stare at the spectacular view.Not too bad during day but when the bar a few yards away filled up the noise went on all night.Not bad in the large back bedroom but in the twin bedded one literally 4 feet from the street it was disturbing.WE needed 4 beds and discovered a bed sofa in the living room there were no sheets and when we asked for some they were not available.I would advise advertising that sofa bed < the socalled childs bed >was a footstool that flipped open and not even a child could use that.
Despite these minor problems we really enjoyed our stay.The apt was very spacious and well equipped.WE used the buses to travel to the wine villages and Florence.Siena was very busy,full of school children on Easter holiday WE loved Siena!!

Anyway before putting your comment on the homepage I would answer to your "small" complaints and point out for other clients that would come to visit Siena:
Wherever you stay in Siena (or other italian towns) in the historic centre it is rather noisy! Even the apartment I rent on the third floor in the historic centre of Siena has this "problem".
You have booked for 4 people and the apartment is suitable for 4 people with a double bed room and a twin bedded room! I had not any information of 4 single beds.The 5th bed is suitable for children and if it is needed I explain well that it isn´t a real bed.
