The very name of this small 20 unit, low profile condominium community, The Court of Palms, aptly describes its serene setting. One side of the complex has views of the Atlantic Ocean from the individual unit balconies. On the other side, a picturesque courtyard with numerous palm trees, a small but pleasant pool, two barbeque areas with a soothing melodic rock fountain, all surrounded with decking for sunning, playing cards, alfresco dining, reading and just relaxing …
Adding to the enjoyment of this quaint complex is how quiet it is because of its older solid block construction and location.
Our community is in a primarily residential area, a few miles north of action packed Daytona Beach. The stretch of beach from St. Augustine to Daytona is famous for its hard, compacted sand that allows for cars to drive on the beach, except for a few mile stretch that happens to be directly in front of The Court of Palms. This feature creates a beach lover’s paradise because of how few people (and no cars) share this little slice of heaven, making it perfect for long walks, swimming, fishing, sunning or shell hunting. Though extremely and somewhat private, due to omitted public access or parking, we are conveniently located (within 10-15 minutes by car) from shopping, restaurants and grocery stores, including the small hamlet of Ormond, which was one of the vacation spots of choice for John D. Rockefeller Sr. and Henry Flagler, both of whom chose to have residences here.
Rockefeller’s estate (which is now open to the public) and Flagler Park are each great places to visit. There are a myriad of other things to do nearby: stroll the boardwalk, take in the Daytona Speedway Museum, or the huge water park for a full day of fun. Venture a little further, approximately one hour, to St. Augustine, America’s oldest city, or visit the Cape Kennedy Space complex, or even Disney World, Epcot Center, Sea World, or Universal Studios, each approximately 1 ½ hour drive.
The Court of Palms is more than just ideally located, it is an ideal setting for a relaxing vacation that can be enhanced by some of the best entertainment areas Florida has to offer from Space Rockets to Formula Race Cars; from Disney rides to Sea World creatures. The choice is yours, as is our quaint and serene community to stay as long as you might like to call The Court of Palms your home away from home.

This has been the second year we have stayed in this unit for the winter. Obviously, the fact that we came back a second time speaks volumes as to our happiness and satisfaction, not only with the unit but with owner as well.
Although she is not on site, concerns/issues were resolved quickly and efficiently....not that we had that many issues to begin with. The complex has many snowbirds who return year after year and newbies are not excluded or left out. They are always encouraged and welcomed to join the "group". My wife & I have already booked next winter and we are already looking forward to our time at "The Court of Palms".
We had an excellent stay in the unit. The complex is small and perfect for those who want to get away. It's a short drive from Flagler and Daytona so it was perfect for us. We were still able to drive within 10-15 minutes to our favorite resturants but the beach was not crowded at all. And it was the week of July 4th. This unit has a side view of the beach but it's the first unit on the side so the view is still amazing. And the furnishings in the unit were very nice. The only problem we had was a problem with the air conditioning but the owner and on site coordinator was quick to contact a repairman and get the issue resolved. Things like that happen, and actually I was impressed with how quickly they acted on the problem. I will definitely stay here again.
