Located in the heart of Honua Kai Resort on the GROUND floor - our super cute and cozy two (2) bedroom, one (1) bathroom luxury condo, includes everything you could possibly want for a time away from home. Smack dab in the middle of Honua Kai, it offers less neighborly foot traffic than inner courtyard units, is on the highly desired sunny south side, and has the extra convenience of just walking out of the lanai and being just a quick minute away from the resorts many pools and the amazing Dukes Restaurant. (please see our room layout photo for the location of our condo).

Our condo, Honua Kai Unit # Konea 106 is a brand new super clean, 945 square foot (plus 325 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR hotel condominium. Just recently built in 2008, Honua Kai condo's and the resort offers many wonderful modern amenities. And just when you could not ask for more, many extra personal touches from a proud owner are visible in the condo such as an upgraded 8-setting shower head, upgraded ipod docking alarm clocks, games, and many other owner supplied goodies such as beach chairs, beach mats, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, a pack n play, strap on booster chair, etc.

The family friendly Ground Floor units include many bonuses not offered on any of the floors above. Extra tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the resort and West Maui mountains.

With a king Bed with luxurious linens in the master and second bedroom and a Queen sofa sleeper in living the condo is a perfectly comfortable fit for up to 6 adults. The two bedrooms, and living each have their own HD flat screen TV's and cable. In addition, a Blu-Ray DVD is available in the living room, and Wireless Internet is also included free of charge.

About Brandon Mullenberg

I grew up and we currently live in Seattle, WA. My wife grew up in the Czech Republic. We have 3 little ones. A handsome 5 year old boy, a beautiful 3 year old girl, and our youngest boy is 1.5 years old. Our favorite getaway spot is Maui and Honua Kai.

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai Resort for the first time in 2009, we feel in love with this place. It was perfect for us. Having a young family of our own, we have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai Resort was that place. Both are ground floor units which in our opinion is the absolute best for children. It has quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. We just love this place.

GREAT CONDO - Family of 4 with two teenagers

We stayed in room 106 for 8 nights in August and loved every minute of it ! Brandon was very prompt with all of our questions prior to our arrival and he and his on-island help Monty were very responsive with the few questions we had upon our arrival. The check in process was very simple, no need to worry that you aren't renting through the resort directly. The grounds are absolutely fabulous and the view of the mountains from the back patio were beautiful and relaxing. My 14 year old daughter said, about the grounds at Honua Kai, something to the effect, "this is what I dreamed of when I pictured Hawaii." We have two teenage girls and I was a bit worried about not being in the 'heart' of Kaanapali Beach, but we did spend an afternoon at Kaanapali and both said they preferred our beach as it was less crowded. They enjoy shopping, but didn't mind not being right next to the big shopping center. The location really is wonderful. We headed north to some beaches and went to Hana, the island is pretty small, so nothing is really too far away. It was nice having the strip shopping center just across the street for grabbing incidentals. Hit Costco and Safeway on the way in and you'll be set. We ate most of our meals in our condo, but had one meal at Dukes and enjoyed it very much.
Again, I can't say enough about how easy Brandon & Monty were to work with and how perfect our accommodations were. We loved opening up the full length windows as soon as we awoke in the mornings and letting the Hawaiian air into our unit. We can't wait to go back.

Fabulous family vacation

Terrific ground floor suite, clean, well equipped, excellent customer service from owner, property manager and resort. Second time staying at this resort with young kids and having the grass and easy access to pools and beach from ground floor is a big plus for this unit. The suite has all you need while on vacation, is clean and well maintained, beds are fantastic, high ceilings and lots of space for young kids to play. Can't wait to return and would definitely recommend.

ideal for family of 4

We stayed in this unit with our 5 and 3 year old kids and couldn't have had more fun! The resort is great for kids with all the pools and this condo location especially that opens up onto the large grass area and path. We went to Duke's restaurant on site at least once a day with great food, live music and cool bartenders. The second king bed and room worked out perfect for the kids. Everything high end from the beds, kitchen, appliances, TV's and bathroom. All the beach gear very helpful also. property manager and owner both very accommodating. I highly recommend this condo and resort.

Fabulous complex with lots of swimming pools, Duke's restaurant right there, close to Kaanapali hotels and shopping. High ceilings, ground floor unit feels more spacious, perfect for us with a 5 and 7 year old. Great owner who had a great several pager guide to everything (activities, restaurants, etc.), easy check in and out, just perfect in every way!

This is the perfect condo for a family. We loved being on the ground floor because the kids could play outside on the big field while we sat on the porch. We ate most meals on the porch which was delightful. The condo is the perfect size for four people, it was clean, updated and well maintained. The property manager was delightful and very responsive to our questions. The resort itself was great, the pools has something for everyone and it was great being right on the beach. We'll be back!

Most amazing unit/resort to stay at in Kaanapali!!!

I am so happy I decided to rent a 1st floor unit. We hardly used the interior hallways-we slipped out the sliding doors and had easy access to EVERYTHING. The mountain view was seen from the master bed and the living room. Absolutley heaven on earth. The beach chairs provided in the unit came in quite handy-bonus they were Tommy Bahama chairs so there was a zippered pouch on the back of the chair for keys/phones/cameras/sunscreen, etc. The condo was perfect in every way, quick walk across the street for groceries and to the local farmers market for fresh vegies and home made salsas. The Java Cafe across the street was the coolest eclectic cafe/eatery i have ever been to. Friendliest folks ever and great food. Snorkel Bobs-same plaza-had cheap rentals for snorkel gear and they had prescription goggles for literally a couple extra dollars per day. My family of 4, our girls ages 18 and 20 yrs loved it! Even though it has one bathroom, that was NEVER an issue. The bathroom is very spacious-so much that the 3 of us girls were able to manage getting ready all at once. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the unit, Honua Kai or the owner who obviously takes pride in making sure everything is perfect. We are ready to go back.
