we were 8 persons staying in there and another 2 people who live in Berlin had a look at it: All of us were of the view, the the apartment was a perfect choice, we had a great stay and I'll definitely will try to book via directstay again in future. The door-code rather than a key provided us with great flexibility in particular since we've been a big group.
Berlin is amazing and the apartment too !!
We are a family of 6 with 4 small children (ages 3-8). Apartment had plenty of space for all of us. Apartment was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location in the Mitte area was ideal and extremely convenient to an underground station as well as several trams. There were plenty of cafes and some small shops nearby which made our dining choices easy. Overall, a fantastic stay and well worth the money! I would definitely stay there again.
Everything was great, especially the location and the size of the flat. It was clean and well equipped, only a clotheshorse was missed after laundry. The best thing of all was the fact that smoking was permitted!!! I can only recommend this object and I thank you for everything!
A few of us ladies stayed at this beautiful apartment for the carnival. The rooms were very spacious and the apartment was in a great location as it was close to all public transport. Taxi rank was also very conveniently situated across the street from the apartment. When we first arrived we were slightly put of. By the graffiti on the main door and feared how the apartment would be. But once we entered the apartment we were happy. The code was a lightly tricky to get the hang of and had to call for assistance. Although the house appeared clean as there were clean linen and towels the floors were very dirty. however once we gave it an entire clean we were more relaxed. The kitchen equipment was perfect and we were able to make meals whenever we wanted, however there was no oven. Over all it was a great place to stay and we would def book again
An extremely spacious apartment in a great location in Berlin. The location is prime -- right in the middle of all the action on Rosenthaler Platz. Even though it is on a busy street, there is very little noise that makes it through, particularly if you have the white noise from the fans running in the front rooms. It is on the third floor with no lift, so just be prepared to carry up any heavy baggage. There is no parking provided. We had to park a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment on local streets, which is not necessarily ideal. We ultimately moved our car to a nearby parking garage in a hotel that was a 10 minute walk away. When we arrived, the towels were still damp and dirty with black smudges on them. However, the manager was extremely responsive when I called, and he had new towels provided that same evening -- so excellent customer service. It only has one bathroom, which just necessitated some planning by the 6 of us. But the apartment is so spacious with lots of natural light and a fully-equipped kitchen -- we would absolutely stay here again! It is right next to a subway stop, so getting around to different parts of the city is very easy. Great restaurants and nightlife nearby as well.
The name “Mitte” says it all. This is the historical heart of Berlin, the absolute city centre.
It is surrounded by the Tiergarten, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg, and Wedding districts. Mitte is home to a whole host of museums and the vast majority of must-see sights like the Friedrichstrasse, the Museumsinsel, Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden, the Berlin Dome, the Oranienburgerstrasse, Checkpoint Charlie, and of course, the Brandenburger Torto (to name just a few).
The apartment “Mitten-Drin” is located in Torstrasse street, in the Mitte district.
Torstrasse begins at the Prenzlauer Allee and continues along the Schönhauser Tor, the Rosenthaler Platz to the Friedrichstras where it finally ends at the Oranienburger Tor. The apartment is situated on Torstrasse street near Rosenthaler Platz, right next to the U-Bahn station. From here you are well connected by public transport to the rest of the city.
Within walking distance there are numerous bars and restaurants, always open to accommodate you. Heading north from the Rosenthaler Platz, there is the Volkspark am Weinberg and around the corner the Volkspark Friedrichshain, the Hackescher Markt and the Tiergarten park.
The Mitte district is also fantastic for shopping and taking a stroll through the streets sprinkled with interesting galleries(Hackesche Höfe at the Rosenthaler Strasse). Additionally, for those among you who appreciate fantastic nightlife, you will certainly not be disappointed with what Berlin has to offer. Clubs like the Tape, the Weekend Club, Watergate, Tresor, and not to forget the Uberclub Berghain seem never to have heard of closing hours. Once you’ve been here, you‘ll understand why Berlin is the world’s music capital.
Mitte is most definitely the best place to stay, especially if you are visiting Berlin for the first time. Here you can find all the best things Berlin has to offer.
