Touring around from the Boyne City:
Boyne City is centrally to some of the most outstanding treasures of Northwest Michigan.
At the west end of the Lake Charlevoix is the town of Charlevoix, with great restaurants, fine shops and a beautiful new marina. The Pine River flows from the marina under the picturesque drawbridge and into Lake Michigan, providing access for big-lake boating and fishing adventures.
To the north, from either Boyne City or Charlevoix, lies the town of Petoskey featuring a large and modern marina, as well as numerous restaurants with a full range of tastes and prices, fun shopping, a casino and beautiful views of Little Traverse Bay.
Across the Little Traverse bay lies Harbor Springs, with fine restaurants and shopping, and a beautiful sheltered marina.
Just a few miles southwest of Petoskey you find the very up-scale resort village of Bay Harbor, with its elegant shopping, championship golf courses, restaurants and a deep-water harbor.

Lake Charlevoix voted 2nd Best Lake in America on USA Today Newsapaper poll in 2012!
I vacationed at this location while growing up and find both summer (boating) and winter (skiing) activities provide the best in family fun and vacationing.
Relax on the porch and enjoy viewing the scenic lakefront. Soak up the sun, swim off the beach, and fish for bass off the dock. Within walking distance to Boyne City with quaint shops, quiet dinners, and leisurely strolls with an ice cream cone from Kilwins.
Great view to wake up to every morning and to watch the moon and stars at night. Breakfast on the deck in the morning and made gourmet meals with a full kitchen with everything we needed. We had plenty of space with the trilevel and stayed cool during the hottest week of the summer with the AC unit and ceiling fans. Family was at Young State Park and we liked the location between the Park and Boyne City and 20 minutes to Petosky.
Nice open room and great fireplace. The views from the living room and bedrooms are beautiful.
Very convenient to Boyne City, easy access to supermarket and short drive to ski slopes.
A very relaxing long weekend for the family.
Great location on Lake Charlevoix. Fantastic views across the south end of the lake We walked right into downtown Boyne City a few times for breakfast. Driving to the mountain for skiing took only 15 minutes. This was a great central location with easy access to Petoskey too. While we didn't visit Charlevoix, its just 15 minutes after a left turn out of the driveway. Large roomy living area, basic kitchen, full dining room and two lower level bedrooms. Huge loft with a small side bedroom and its own bath. Our daughter took that over; it would be the perfect room to fit younger kids. Throw down the sleeping bags and let 'em spread out! If you're looking for a condo with that homey feeling, where your skiers can just walk in and comfortably get the boots off, with older but comfortable furnishings, this is the place. We definitely would stay again. Summers here would be utterly fantastic. The owner is looking into adding a private dock and kayaks so check back. We are already making plans to return this summer.
